On my cellphone wearin' it out
And I finally tracked you down
Hey, everybody says you're the man
The final piece to my master plan
You got my world in the palm of your hand
Well I know that you got it
Come on and just sell it
Got the cash up in my pocket
You know I gotta get it
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see
I got my money and you got what I need
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
Hey, don't even think about tellin' me no
It's only twenty minutes 'till the show
Hey mister turn it over let's go
No, I ain't gonna need a receipt
Just make sure that it looks like me
So the bouncer don't call the police
And don't tell my daddy
Stole the keys to his caddy
Don't dilly dally
I gotta get the hell out of this alley
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see
I got my money and you got what I need
Here's my money, now get out of my way
Gonna push my luck right up to the stage
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see
I got my money and you got what I need
Hey mister, hey mister
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see
I got my money and you got what I need
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see
I got my money and you got what I need
Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID
Hey mister, hey mister
The song "Fake ID" by Big & Rich is about a person desperately seeking a fake identification to get into a bar and see their favorite band play. The lyrics start with the singer driving around town, calling everyone they know to find someone who can provide them with a fake ID. The song provides a glimpse into the rebellion and excitement of youth culture, where teens and young adults would do whatever it takes to gain entry into their favorite music venues, such as using a fake identification.
The singer in Big & Rich's song offers to pay for the fake ID in cash and is adamant about getting what they need. They tell the seller not to waste any time and to make the fake ID quickly so they can get to the show. They emphasize that the ID needs to look like them and not raise any suspicion from the bouncer. In the end, the singer pushes their luck and makes it to the stage, all thanks to the fake ID they got from the seller.
Overall, "Fake ID" is a song about youthful rebellion and the lengths people will go to see their favorite bands play. It's a reflection of the wild and exciting culture of youth, where people are willing to take risks to have a good time.
