1) BIGBANG (빅뱅) is a five member hip-hop/pop group from Seoul, South Korea. The group was created by YG Entertainment Inc. through a long audition process which aired on TV as a 10 episode documentary. They made their debut at the YG Family 10th Anniversary Concert on August 19th, 2006.
Big Bang has been labelled as the "Revolutionary Group of Korean Music Wave" for their unique urban-originated music and fashion style. The members' involvement in composing and producing their own music, most notably G-Dragon's, has earned them respect and praise from music industry experts.
During their first year, Big Bang was criticized for being "too short" and "too ugly" for an idol group. Sales from their early hip-hop singles and first studio album BigBang Vol. 1 were disappointing. The group's turning point came with their hit song Lies, which stayed at number one on Korean charts for a record-breaking seven consecutive weeks. Their follow up releases, Hot Issue and Stand Up, furthered their success, spawning hits such as Last Farewell and Haru Haru. From 2007 to 2008, Big Bang received many awards, including "Best Male Group", "Song of the Year", "Artist of the Year", and the Grand Award at the Seoul Music Awards.
From 2009 to 2010, Big Bang expanded their endeavors to Japan, and were voted "the Korean group that Japanese fans wish to see the most". They became the first foreign group awarded to receive the "Best Newcomer" award from the Japan Cable Broadcasting Station and "Best New Artist" at MTV Japan. Amidst their Japanese group promotions, the members branched out to do solo activities. Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Seungri have released solo albums. G-Dragon and T.O.P also collaborated on an album under the sub-unit GD & TOP. Seungri and Daesung have acted in both TV dramas and musicals. T.O.P became a highly acclaimed film / TV drama star. Daesung hosted many of Korea's most popular variety TV shows.
After nearly a two-year hiatus in Korea, Big Bang reunited in 2011 with their successful album Tonight. However, promotions were cut short when multiple members encountered legal issues. In November 2011, representing the Asia-Pacific region, Big Bang emerged as the inaugural "Best Worldwide Act" winner at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards. This was the first time in six months where all five members were seen together. In 2012, Big Bang released their 5th Mini Album Alive in Korea and Japan. They are currently embarking on their first ever World Tour visiting 25 cities in 16 countries.
Fans of Big Bang are known as VIPs. Their official light stick is a signature yellow crown, which reflects Big Bang's title as the Kings.

Speak Low
Big Bang Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Our summer day withers away
Too soon, too soon.
Speak low when you speak, love,
Our moment is swift, like ships adrift,
We're swept apart too soon.
Love is a spark lost in the dark,
Too soon, too soon,
I feel wherever I go
That tomorrow is near, tomorrow is here
And always too soon.
Time is so old and love so brief,
Love is pure gold and time a thief.
We're late darling, we're late,
The curtain descends, ev'rything ends
Too soon, too soon,
I wait darling, I wait
Will you speak low to me,
Speak love to me and soon.
The lyrics to "Speak Low" by Big Band hold a theme of the fleetingness and rapidity of love and time. Using a metaphor of a summer day withering away too soon, the lyrics suggest that love, like time, is brief and the singer longs for it to last just a little longer. The constant repetition of "too soon" throughout the song creates a sense of urgency and desperation, as if the singer is fighting against time or trying to hold onto a precious moment.
The lyrics also highlight the vulnerability of love, as it is described as a "spark lost in the dark" and the fear that tomorrow could come too soon, bringing an end to the moment. The lines, "Love is pure gold and time a thief" reveal the contrast between the preciousness of love and the inevitability of time.
Overall, the lyrics to "Speak Low" convey a sense of passionate love and a longing for time to slow down, allowing the singer to savor every moment of love they share with their partner.
