What a Little Moonlight Can Do
Billie Holiday Lyrics

Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Ooh, what a little moonlight
Can do to you

You're in love
Your hearts fluttering
All day long

You only stutter
'Cause your poor tongue
Just will not utter
The words, I love you

Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Wait a while
Till a little moonbeam
Comes peepin' through

You'll get bored
You can't resist him
And all you'll say
When you have kissed him is
Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do

It's astonishing how this lady has that easy going singing with her own voice. Few after had that facility i can remember Elvis Presley, Macy crey and the lovely Emy winehouse😢

I guess the first Billie Holiday song I ever heard. I worked in a record store and knew she was important so I found one of the early greatest hits releases on vinyl. 1973 or so. This was track one. Never looked back.

Of many I love, this is my favourite Billie Holiday track of all

thats just logic;-)

She was amazing. And it wasn't about voice, though I love her voice, but more about phrasing, rhythm, and sincerity of feeling.

Ain't nobody's business can do the same to me as a little moonlight too 👍
