Billie the Vision & the Dancers got together in Malmö during the recordings of the first album in the spring of 2004. The Singer, Songwriter Lars Lindquists had previous material from a solo project. One person wasn't enough he thought, and had persuaded five more members to join the project. Most of them old friends from his home town Bräkne-Hoby in Blekinge, and on top of that a new friend from Borlänge.
The debut I Was So Unpopular in School and Now They're Giving Me This Beautiful Bicycle released on their own label Love Will Pay the Bills got great reviews in the press and also got nominated at Manifest, the Swedish prize award for records released on indie labels.
2005 saw the release of The World According To Pablo and in 2007 "Where The Ocean Meets My Hand" was released.
"I Used to Wander These Streets" was released on June 4th 2008.

Secret love
Billie the Vision & the Dancers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And turn blind for the rest of the night
Would you put them back on in the morning
If you're still here, if you're still here
I won't mind if you take of your glasses
I'll put them back on when you awake
It's ironic that you can not use
There is something about you that I love
Might be your fingers, your teeth, I don't know
Or the jokes that you tell after midnight
When we're the only ones awake, only ones awake
And we laughed and we laughed and we laughed again
And we cried and we cried and we cried
'Cause the secret love that we had
Was tearing us apart, tearing us apart
And my paintings were always important
You were the very first one to see
I counted sheep for a week cause I couldn't sleep
Your reaction was a crossroad to me, crossroad to me
We fell asleep just an hour 'fore daylight
We woke up by a cat in our bed
It jumped in from our open window
It scared the youth out of you and me, you and me
And we laughed and we laughed and we laughed again
And we cried and we cried and we cried
'Cause the secret love that we had
Was tearing us apart, tearing us apart
And we laughed and we laughed and we laughed again
And we cried and we cried and we cried
'Cause the secret and young love we had
Was tearing us apart, tearing us apart
The song "Secret Love" by Billie the Vision & the Dancers is a bittersweet ballad about a love that is kept hidden from the world. The first verse sets the scene for the night, where the singer asks their lover if they would mind if they took off their glasses and turned blind for the rest of the night. The line suggests a desire to be vulnerable with their partner and shed their perceived visual barriers. The following line about putting the glasses back on in the morning if the lover is still there implies a sense of hope and commitment to the relationship.
The second verse contains a playful exchange between the two lovers. The singer says they won't mind if their lover takes off their glasses, and that they will put them back on when they wake up. The irony lies in the fact that the singer finds their lover's eyes to be the most beautiful, yet they cannot see them without the glasses on. The chorus provides the emotional punch of the song, where the two lovers are torn apart by their secret love. They laugh and cry together, but their hidden relationship is causing them pain.
The third verse gives insight into the couple's routine and the importance of their relationship to one another. The singer mentions their paintings, and how their lover was the first person to see them. The line about counting sheep for a week and their lover's reaction being a crossroad suggests that their partner's opinion holds immense weight in the singer's life. The final verse ends on a lighter note with the couple having woken up to a cat in their bed, scaring the youth out of them. The chorus repeats, emphasizing the pain that comes with their love being kept secret.
