One Last Kiss
Billy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Oh, one last kiss, oh baby, one last kiss
It never felt like this, oh baby, not like this
You know I need your love, oh-oh-oh
Give me one last ki-iss
One last kiss
You make me feel sublime, oh baby, you're so fine
You know I need your love, oh-oh-oh
Give me one last ki-iss
One last kiss
Woh-woh-woh
Darling it isn't right
Why must we say goodnight
Don't let me go like thi-is
Baby I need you so
But if I have to go
Just give me one last ki-iss
Oh, one last kiss, oh baby, one last kiss
It never felt like this, oh baby, not like this
You know I need your love, oh-oh-oh
Give me one last ki-iss
Darling it isn't right
Why must we say goodnight
Don't let me go like thi-is
Baby I need you so
But if I have to go
Just give me one last ki-iss
Oh, one last kiss, oh baby, one last kiss
It never felt like this, oh baby, not like this
You know I need your love, oh-oh-oh
Give me one last ki-iss

The song "One Last Kiss" by Billy 'Crash' Craddock is about the desire for one more kiss from a lover before saying goodbye. The repeating chorus of the song emphasizes the need for that one final moment of intimacy and the desire to make it last forever. The lyrics show the singer's vulnerability and desperation, as they know they need the love of their partner and the final kiss is all they want before they separate.
The first verse of the song mentions that the singer needs the love of his partner and that he has never felt anything like it before. The second verse emphasizes that he wants more than just one last kiss and that this particular person makes him feel "sublime." The bridge suggests that saying goodbye is difficult and asks why they need to do it. The repeating chorus further emphasizes the desire for the final kiss, and that it isn't the end of their love story.
Overall, this song is a classic love ballad that emphasizes the power of a simple kiss as a way of connecting and showing love to another person. It speaks to the universal human need for intimacy and affection, and the vulnerability we all feel when saying goodbye to someone we love.
