My bro had a cassette, brown BASF... simply titled Billy Cobham.... As a small kid learning trumpet I couldn't imagine how can it played this way.... how can it played on the drums this way... how can it sounds a drum... didn'know anything about this band, the Brecker bro's, Scofield.,... etc.. later I realised what a band was this. Inconceivable. One of my all time favourite album. The songs, the grooves, the solos, the horns, arrangement, everything.
It's a fine taste of 70's America...

I've owned this album since the early 80's. I only ever listened to one side.... This is the first time I've heard this album from the beginning to the end.... Boy did I have great taste as a young man back then!

long time searching for this album .Cause it brought me (borne 1956 /heard this album first around 1978 ?) from R&B ,charts a.s.o. to this "strange thing " called jazz ".It spreads my music-horizon I became aware of the Brecker-Brothers and so much more musicians ! So happy for your upload ! Thank you

P.S.my "favorite" is (they`r all ) but this drum-solo " Light at the End of the Tunnel" start: 23:26 ----------
First time I rember, that a drum solo is able to build up a picture , by using electronic devicses .In these days (for drums ) just avantgarde ! It`s Tobacco Road / E.Burdon&War / played on Drums ...stumble,falling down, stand up ,again..stumble......

Civil Ian

Thanks for listening! Glad I could upload it for you 🙂

My god, has a piece of music ever better represented a period of time. This is the funkiest 1970s thing I have ever heard
