Do I Make You Wanna
Billy Currington Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When you see me pull up in your drive?
Do you wanna go downtown
Maybe have a little high dollar wine?
Do you wanna go out to the country
And maybe blow all our money
On some sugar at the truck stop and some scratch-offs
See if we can lucky?
In your beautiful mind
Baby don't be shy
And tell me now
Do I make you wanna dance real slow?
Go flyin' down a two lane road?
Find a limb to hang your clothes?
Do I make you wanna let your hair down
Play a little truth or dare now
Act just like you don't care now
Girl when I come around tell me
Do I make you wanna?
Stay up 'til the sun
Howl at the moon
Baby, tell me the truth
Do I make you wanna
Karaoke in the neon light
Go to Vegas, stay up all night
See if we can find a cheap flight
Little seven, come eleven, baby, roll those dice?
Do I make you feel pretty
Do I make you wanna lean back, lay back and kiss me?
Do you wanna roll with me
To the mountains, to the beach, to a party in the city?
Do you wanna take in a broadway show
Or maybe just stay low?
I gotta know now
Do I make you wanna dance real slow?
Go flyin' down a two lane road?
Find a limb to hang your clothes?
Do I make you wanna let your hair down
Play a little truth or dare now
Act just like you don't care now
Girl when I come around tell me
Do I make you wanna?
Do I make you turn into somebody else?
Do you feel like you can finally be yourself?
Baby, tell me now
Do I make you wanna dance real slow?
Go flyin' down a two lane road?
Find a limb to hang your clothes?
I'm in the middle of nowhere now
But we can take it back downtown
You know I don't care now
Just wanna take you down now
Do I make you wanna dance real slow?
Go flyin' down a two lane road?
Find a limb to hang your clothes?
Do I make you wanna let your hair down
Play a little truth or dare now
Act just like you don't care now
Girl when I come around tell me
Do I make you wanna?
Stay up 'til the sun?
Howl at the moon?
Oh babe
Tell me do I make you wanna
Stay up 'til the sun?
Howl at the moon?
Baby, tell me the truth
Do I make you wanna
(Put your hair down
Play a little truth or dare now
Act just like you don't care now)
Baby (baby)
Make you wanna dance real slow?
Go flyin' down a two lane road?
Find a limb to hang your clothes on?
Ah, babe, tell me
Do I make you wanna?
In Billy Currington's "Do I make you wanna," the singer is asking his significant other what they want to do when he arrives at her place. He gives her various options like going downtown for some wine, going to the country to indulge in sugary treats, and going to Vegas for a little adventure. He's curious about what goes on in her beautiful mind and is encouraging her to open up to him. The singer then asks if he makes her want to dance, go for a drive, act carefree, or even karaoke. He wants to know if he makes her feel like herself, and if he makes her want to go out and enjoy life. He then asks if she wants to hang out with him: go to a Broadway show or even go to the beach or mountains. The chorus repeats the same question several times if he makes her want to do various things and ask whether he makes her feel pretty.
The lyrics reflect a sense of curiosity and willingness to take risks and have fun. The singer wants to know what his significant other is thinking, and he wants to make her feel special and wanted. They have an adventurous spirit that they want to share with each other while enjoying each other's company. This song is a representation of a loving and accepting relationship, and the willingness to try new things to make it work.

I agree 100%. But when you love farming as much as music, it’s gotta to be hard to maintain the focus that is required to write songs, produce albums and tour. Farming is easier and more enjoyable. Whatever Billy is doing, I hope he is happy.
