I'd Never Find Another You
Billy Fury Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'd never find another you
Don't ever worry that I'll leave you
That's such a foolish thing to do
How could I ever go
When in my heart I know
I'd never find another you
I might find other arms to hold me
But they would only leave me blue
The thrill of your embrace
Is what I can't replace
I'd never find another you

BRIDGE:

Though there are times when we may quarrel
I can't stay mad at you for more
Than just a minute or two, now
I know I'd never want to leave you
Cause if I searched my whole life through
I know there'd only be
A second best for me
I'd never find another you

I know I'd never want to leave you
Cause if I searched my whole life through
I know there'd only be
A second best for me

I'd never find another you
I'd never find another........you

Overall Meaning

In Billy Fury's song "I'd Never Find Another You," the lyrics express a deep and unwavering commitment to a loved one. The singer reassures their partner that they need not worry about the possibility of them leaving, as they could never find another person like them. The singer acknowledges that there may be other people who could offer physical affection, but they could never replicate the powerful emotional bond that exists between the singer and their loved one. The bridge serves as a reflection on the fleeting nature of human emotions and disagreements, reassuring the partner that any quarrels they encounter will never outweigh the enduring love and commitment they share.

Love this guy , beautiful inside and out. Very kind caring and gentle natured, never went to school much spent most of his time in hospital with an illness which eventually killed him age 42yrs. As he got older he bought a farm and lived there till he passed away, he was actually called the Elvis of Britain. He went to America to meet Elvis. And apparently he didn't speak to Elvis all the time he was with him. He was a very very shy man. Even when being interviewed you cud see. It . He talked sooo calm, shy and placid, love all his songs they always touch my heart, and always will. He had sooo many ops and he mentioned he had nearly died. He was from Liverpool and there is a statue of him there which I wud like to see, if I ever visit Liverpool. This beautiful man had kindness written all over his beautiful face which isn't very hard to see. 😱😱😱😱😱😱♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Hi Susan. You're right about what a nice man he was. Billy, (or Ronnie as he was really called), worked on the tugboats with my dad and once bought me a fantastic space gun water pistol. A lovely feller. Such a shame about his illnesses, which wouldn't be a problem today.

Aaaaw I didn't know. ❤😢 Thanks for all the interesting information. I remember him as I grew up in North West England in the 60s.
