Being in space has changed me and the way people perceive me has also changed

The planet Mars is not an ideal place to start a family

Mars is not a safe and suitable place to raise children

Mars is extremely cold, and not suitable for human habitation without special equipment

And there's no one there to raise them
There are no other people on Mars that could help raise children if you did have them there

If you did
If you did have children on Mars, it would be very difficult and dangerous

And all this science
All the knowledge and understanding gained through studying the science of space travel

I don't understand
Despite my occupation as an astronaut, there are aspects of space travel that I still don't fully comprehend

It's just my job
Despite this lack of understanding, being an astronaut is still my career and livelihood

Five days a week
My work as an astronaut is a full-time job, five days per week

And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
I believe that my time in space will feel much longer than it actually is

I feel that being in space will be challenging and trying, and don't necessarily welcome it
