Tales From the Hard Side
Biohazard Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You drove through the night
As a man in dark clothes came into your sight
The barrel tapped the glass
You reached the window lock
Get the fuck out the car
And leave it in the crosswalk
He climbed into your seat
Pissin' down your leg, you're a victim of carjack
Feel the cold steel as I pull the hammer back
Bang! You're fuckin' dead 'cause it's like that
Society, pushed him down and out
Soul provider what's it all about
Religion, faith can we do without
Social pressure we're too strung out
Another bad hand the cards have been dealt
Kid of fourteen, high aspirations held
To get ahead and run shit with his powerful will
Told by his role model, you're old enough to kill
See my ride, my bitches and my loot
If ya want to survive be prepared to shoot
Stay hard like me, you're bound to do well
A waste of precious life, twenty five and an L
I'll put a bullet in your head for the colour of your skin
This is my neighborhood who the fuck let you in
I'll stick with mine stay with your own kind
The virus of hate infects the ignorant mind
The lyrics of Biohazard's song "Tales From the Hard Side" is a commentary on the harsh realities of life in society, particularly in disadvantaged communities. The first verse tells a story of a carjacking incident where the victim is held at gunpoint and forced out of the car. The song suggests that the perpetrator's actions are a result of societal pressures and circumstances that have pushed him to a life of crime and drug addiction. The lyrics use graphic language to describe the violence and fear of the situation, emphasizing the brutality of the world we live in.
The second verse portrays the story of a young boy who has been influenced by the wrong role models and ends up choosing a life of crime and violence. The singer suggests that even society's values and beliefs, such as religion and faith, have not been enough to prevent this kind of behavior. The song suggests that the young boy's actions are a result of the socio-economic conditions of his community, particularly poverty, crime, and a lack of opportunities. The chorus of the song touches on themes of social pressure and racism, suggesting that these issues continue to plague our society and create division among people.
Overall, the lyrics of "Tales From the Hard Side" serve as a commentary on societal issues and the harsh realities of life in disadvantaged communities. The song highlights the struggles and pressures that people face, particularly those who are forced into a life of crime and violence. The lyrics use graphic language to emphasize the brutality of the world we live in and the urgent need for change in our society.

@Livefreeordie609
I shared a room with my older brother growing up and he turned me onto a lot of the music I still listen to today. He listened to a lot of biohazard, his first tattoo was a biohazard sign. He passed away from cancer three years ago. Anytime I hear any of the bands he turned me onto I get emotional. Amazing what music can do for one’s soul
