Let It All Go
Birdy Lyrics

'Cause I don't know how I feel
I've been waiting on you
Just to say something real
There's a light on the road
And I think you know
Morning is coming
I don't know why, I don't know why
We need to break so hard
I don't know why we break so hard
But if we're strong enough
To let it in, in, in
We strong enough
To let it go, oho, oho
Let it all go, let it all go
Let it all out now
If I look back to the start now
I know, I see everything true
There's still a fire in me heart, my darling
But I'm not burning for you
We started it wrong
And I think you know
We waited too long
Now I have to go
I don't know why, I don't know why
We need to break so hard
I don't know why we break so hard
But if we're strong enough
To let it in, in, in
We strong enough
To let it go, oho, oho
Let it all go, let it all go
Let it all out now
Let it all go, let it all go
Let it all out now
Who says, who says?
Who says, who says?
Who says truth is beauty after all?
And who says love should break us when we fall?
But if we're strong enough
To let it in, in, in
We strong enough
To let it go, oho, oho
Let it all go, let it all go
Let it all out now
Let it all go, let it all go
Let it all out now
We're strong enough
To let it go, oho, oho
The song "Let It All Go" by Birdy featuring Rhodes speaks about a person who is struggling to come to terms with the end of a relationship. The first stanza expresses the singer's confusion and uncertainty about their own feelings regarding the breakup. They have been sleepless at night due to their inability to understand the emotions they are feeling. The singer has been waiting for their partner to say something genuine or sincere that can possibly clarify the situation.
The second verse of the song mentions the dawn breaking, and the singer sensing the beginning of a new day. That new day, however, would be the start of them leaving the relationship behind. The singer doesn't know why they needed to break up so hard, but they acknowledge that they have to let it all go. The chorus of the song emphasizes that the main characters of the relationship have to be strong enough to let it all go. The song concludes by bringing up the question of what the truth about love is and why it often results in heartbreak, but emphasizes the importance of letting it all go and moving on from the pain.
Overall, "Let It All Go" is an emotionally charged song with lyrics that demonstrate the difficulty of letting go of a past relationship. The song emphasizes the need to find strength within oneself to move forward and let go of the pain in order to find peace and closure.
