Brothers & Friends
Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter's House Mass Choir Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Brothers and sisters
The world we share is filled with such despair
And such pain

We're a people at odds with our very own selves
The rich neglect the poor
The young resent the old
We're divided by race, divided by religion

Our politicians rob us and our leaders fail us
I think it's safe to say that we are our only hope

Our speaker tonight is a soldier in the war for love
He carries with him a message of true hope and true peace
I pray that you will listen with open hearts and open minds

Brothers and sisters
Put your hands together and welcome Brother Ali

Once saved always saved. After you receive Salvation as a believer we should repent from wrong doings and get right with GOD.

But remember you don't have to repent of sins to be saved or stay saved because once you are saved you're always saved.

A child of GOD a son of GOD

kirk maybe a prodigal son
Pray for him
We need to stop the condemning and pray for that man .

Remember the adulterous woman did Jesus Christ condemn her no He didn't.

You are right, Jesus did not condemn the adulterous woman. He told her to go and sin NO MORE. Meaning we are to repent of our sinful ways. We are to turn away from sun and leave it behind.

It’s not a free for all. Oh great, I got saved and Jesus loves me, so I’m heading out to the strip club tonight and I know I’m going to fornicate and get sloppy drunk. However, I can do all those things every weekend and just ask Jesus for forgiveness. I don’t have to change my immoral lifestyle. Jesus sat with sinners…because once saved always saved…that doesn’t even sound logical.

I was saved at 9 years old. I’ll be 50 if the Lord wills, May 14th. Trust me, I have had to REPENT and work hard at my repentance. It wasn’t until 7 years ago that I realized, I didn’t actually have a relationship with Christ. I was living immorally while thinking all I had to do was ask for forgiveness, but still live in sin. I was CRAZY.

That would mean that EVERYONE would make it to Heaven. That would mean the path to Heaven is WIDE.

Romans 10:2
For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.

Hosea 4:6
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
“Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children.

@sparklegirl7544

@@fairygodbrotherrNOT TRUE! This is NOT true about David and Jonathan. And please read your Bible because you are NOT speaking rightly about the Most High God! You need to repent, my dear! May God have mercy on your soul for your deep deception.

Just because you are a Christian musician does not mean you are a Christian in faith. It just means you have a preferred genre. That works well for you/them.

@TheGoodLifeStarterPack

Mic drop! A preferred genre. That’s it!
