as we talk about love
and I feel your heart
as we share all our faults
I don't seem to understand
is this the way you made your plan
to fall in and out of love.
see to you I speak the truth
only thing I'm asking for
Please don't break my heart
See I don't play games with love
Please don't break my heart
See I don't play games with love
feel my heart
every beat is filled with love
though times will be hard, (so hard)
our love with remain strong can you tell me
see I don't understand the view
that to win you've got to lose
is not what I'm living for.
See to you I speak the truth
that there is no substitute
when you find your one true love
Please don't break my heart
see i don't play games with love
Please don't break my heart
see i don't play games with love
The song "Games" by Bitty McLean is a heartfelt plea to his lover to not break his heart because he doesn't play games with love. In the first verse, Bitty McLean sings about how he can hear his lover's voice as they talk about love and he can feel her heart as they share their faults. However, he does not understand if it was part of her plan to fall in and out of love. He then emphasizes that he speaks the truth to her and he is only asking her to not break his heart.
In the second verse, Bitty McLean sings about how his heart is filled with love and though times may be hard, their love will remain strong. He does not understand the perspective that to win in love, one must lose. He reiterates that he speaks the truth and there is no substitute when it comes to finding one true love. The chorus then repeats his request to not break his heart because he does not play games with love.
Overall, "Games" is a sincere and vulnerable expression of Bitty McLean's desire for a genuine relationship built on honesty and trust. He lays his heart bare and asks his lover to reciprocate his vulnerability by being truthful and not playing games with his heart.
