She came to prominence with albums such as Debut (1993), Post (1995), and Homogenic (1997), collaborating with a range of artists and exploring a variety of multimedia projects. Her other albums include Vespertine (2001), Medúlla (2004), Volta (2007), Biophilia (2011), Vulnicura (2015), Utopia (2017) and Fossora (2022).

Thirty-one of her singles have reached the top 40 on pop charts around the world, with 22 top-40 hits in the UK, including the top-10 singles "It's Oh So Quiet", "Army of Me", and "Hyperballad" and the top-20 singles "Play Dead", "Big Time Sensuality", and "Violently Happy". Her accolades and awards include the Order of the Falcon, five BRIT Awards, and 16 Grammy nominations. In 2015, Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Rolling Stone named her the 60th greatest singer and the 81st greatest songwriter.
Björk starred in the 2000 Lars von Trier film Dancer in the Dark, for which she won the Best Actress Award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "I've Seen It All". Biophilia was marketed as an interactive app album with its own education program. Björk has also been an advocate for environmental causes in Iceland. Come to Me
Björk Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Protect you, come, come down
You're exhausted, come lay down
You don't have to explain, I understand
You know that I adore you
You know that I love you
So don't make me say it
Break the charm
Jump off, your building's on fire
And I'll catch you, I'll catch you
Destroy all that is keeping you down
And then I'll nurse you, I'll nurse you
I'll protect you
You know that I adore you
You know that I love you
So don't make me say it
It would burst the bubble
Break the charm
The lyrics to Björk's song "Come to Me" are a declaration of love and support for someone who is going through a difficult time. The singer offers protection, comfort, and understanding to the person in need. The opening lines, "Come to me, I'll take care of you, Protect you, come, come down," suggest a nurturing, maternal type of love that is willing to shield and support the other person in need. The singer acknowledges that the person is tired and worn out, and encourages them to rest, saying "You're exhausted, come lay down, You don't have to explain, I understand."
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "You know that I adore you, You know that I love you," emphasizing the depth of the singer's affection. However, the singer is also aware that saying these words may be overwhelming or "burst the bubble," and so they do not want to push the other person away with overly-sentimental language.
The latter half of the song takes a more dramatic turn, with the imagery of a burning building and a rescue. When the singer says "Jump off, your building's on fire, And I'll catch you," they are providing both a metaphorical and literal promise of safety. The final lines of the song reiterate the protection and care offered earlier in the lyrics, with the added assurance of nursing and healing.
Overall, "Come to Me" is a song that expresses a powerful depth of feeling and a willingness to be there for someone in times of need. It is a reminder of the importance of support and compassion in personal relationships.

LOL Why did you wait so long, ya silly billy! Shacking up always leads to trouble in the long run, but I get it: you're young! (I'm guessing just shy of 30.) Am I right? Thought so. :P So congrats on finally getting hitched: you'll see it's not much different from before! (Just don't tell my ungracefully aging husband Phil! LOL)
