About the cave & bats version of the song: "I did climb in a dark cave and sing the vocal for Cover Me. I have to credit Nellee Hooper with that idea though. He did it as a treat. Put me blindfolded in a car and when I got to the cave, he had headphones and generators set up with the song and I sneaked in and sang it in one take. One of my favourite experiences ever. Yes, there were bats there."

The song “Cover Me” by Björk is a haunting and intense song that expresses the singer’s determination to discover the unknown and prove the existence of the impossible. The opening lines “While I crawl into the unknown, Cover me” suggest that the singer is willing to take a risk and discover the hidden secrets of life. She asks for someone to cover her, possibly to protect her from danger or to support her in her journey.
The chorus is repeated multiple times and shows her confidence in her mission. “I’m going hunting for mysteries, Cover me” clearly communicates that her goal is to find the answers to life’s greatest questions. She understands that her quest is perilous and says, “This really dangerous, Cover me,” but also reminds herself that it will be worth the risk to discover something that people thought was impossible. In the end, she reiterates her goal, “I’m going to prove the impossible really exists” which encapsulates the essence of the song.
The song “Cover Me” was later covered by the English rock band Depeche Mode in 2017. The song was originally released on Björk's album ‘Post’ in 1995. It is known for its bold lyrics and haunting melody. The song became popular due to its unique style, and the fusion sound of electronic instrumentation with traditional instruments. Arguably, Cover Me is an ode to Bjork’s determination and passion to discover the unknown, as the singer has publicly stated many times that she is closely connected to spirituality and fascination of unexplained things in life.

Yesterday, me and my family went to a small river surrounded by a beautiful untouched tropical forest, away from our city; at some point, I decided to take a walk into the unknown, all by myself, and sang this song. It was a magical moment. A few years ago, I would never do that, but björk's braveness infected me.

I can’t even explain how much I love the way she sings “I am going to prove the impossible really exists”

At 32 years old, I finally decided to dive headfirst into Bjork, having really never heard any of her stuff so far. I'm going in chronological order without looking into too much beforehand. I just heard Cover Me for the first time yesterday, and I started to weep a little halfway through. It's so, so beautiful, and I am so glad I've decided to "discover" her music. Jesus.

Absolutely. I actually came here after listening to Hunter, distracted whilst writing a letter to someone about the interplay of these two kinds of patterns, just like the songs and then I saw your comment. Synchronicity.
