Bjork Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Flowing blood
Giving form
In every part
The whole you see
Into pattern
Giving form
From the moment of commitment
Nature conspires to help you
From the moment of commitment
Nature conspires to help you
From the moment of commitment
Nature conspires to help you
Nature conspires to help you
The lyrics of Björk's Cetacea delve into the idea of pattern, form, and the impact of commitment. The opening lines, "Into pattern, flowing blood, giving form," suggest the interconnectedness of natural patterns and the vital role of blood. The repetition of these lines throughout the song emphasizes their significance. The next line, "In every part, the whole you see," emphasizes that each individual part of nature is necessary to understand the whole pattern. The lines, "From the moment of commitment, nature conspires to help you," are a reminder of the power of making a commitment and the impact it can have on the natural world. The final line, "Nature conspires to help you," further emphasizes this connection between humanity and nature, suggesting that dedicating oneself to a cause will be rewarded by the natural world.
Overall, these lyrics allude to the importance of our relationship with the natural world, while also emphasizing the significance of our individual commitments to preserving and studying patterns within it. It speaks to the interconnectedness of all things and the ways that our decisions can have far-reaching effects.

I don't know if this song has like the most simple concept but I still want to give my own interpretation
Before evolving into cetaceans, whales were land mammals that had to migrate to the water for one reason or another, so the line
"From the moment of commitmnet, nature conspires to help you"
Feels really deep, like it's telling you to make the commitment, dare to do it, nature is in your favor, like with cetaceans

I never thought I would comprimise but from the moment of commitment nature conspires to help you so I did. I know it takes courage to enjoy it and I'm so bored of cowards that say they want then they can't handle. So I never thought I would comprimise.
