Human Behaviour
Bjork Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

If you ever get close to a human
And human behavior
Be ready, be ready to get confused

There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic
To human behavior
But yet so, yet so irresistible
And there is no map

They're terribly, terribly, terribly moody
Oh, human behavior
Then all of a sudden turn happy

But, oh, to get involved in the exchange
Of human emotions
Is ever so, ever so satisfying

Oh, oh, and there is no map

Human behavior, human
Human, human behavior, human
Human, human behavior, human
Human behavior, human

And there is no map
And the compass
Wouldn't help at all

Human behavior, human, human
Human behavior, human
Human behavior, human
Human behavior

There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic (human, human, human behavior)

Human (human behavior)
Human (human, human behavior)
Human

There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic

Human, human, human, human

Overall Meaning

In Björk's "Human Behaviour," she explores the complexities of human behavior and emotion. The song suggests that human behavior is unpredictable, and it cannot be explained by any logical or rational means. Her lyrics lament that there is no map to guide one through the intricacies of interacting with humans - people are terribly moody and can shift unexpectedly from sad to happy. Yet despite the confusion, the exchange of human emotions is satisfying.

Björk's message is delivered through a syncopated beat and unusual instrumentation that includes a harpsichord, jungle sounds, and electronic beats. The combination of the strange instrumentation and the deliberate enunciation of her lyrics creates an otherworldly atmosphere. The song provides a commentary on the mystery of human behavior that resonates with many people.

Overall, "Human Behaviour" is a compelling and thought-provoking song that highlights Björk's unique ability to produce innovative and avant-garde music that also resonates with listeners.

LYRICS
If you ever get close to a human and human behavior
Be ready, be ready to get confused and me and my here after
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic to human behavior
But yet so, yet so irresistible and me and my fear can
And there is no map uncertain
They're terribly, terribly, terribly moody of human behavior
Then all of a sudden, turn happy and they and my here after
But oh, to get involved in the exchange of human emotions
Is ever so, ever so satisfying and they and my here on
And there is no map and chair too
Human behavior, human behavior
Human behavior, human behavior
And there is no map
And a compass wouldn't help at all

Human behavior
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic

Greetings Beautiful soul! (forgive me abit i know I am not exactly what you may have come here for ..) but my name is Ibn Orator...I am an Avant-Garde, introspective & Political Hip Hop Artist from New Haven CT. I've recently released a project titled "The Fishbowl Syndrome" that is centered around the topic of our mental health and art; how they intertwine in experience or how they are sometimes viewed juxtapose, and ostracized as one here in America;to which my first debut music video "The Horse on a Trampoline", works showcase on the spectrum of my own experiences with it-- that i feel fans alike of FKA twigs, Doja Cat, Earthgang ,, Flying lotus, Childish Gambino or those of Bjork, Kid Cudi , Lupe Fiasco, & Reggie watts may resonate with...id like to share this with you by giving a warm welcome to my Channel to not only, like and subscribe but to comment with genuine thoughts . (Please leave a comment there underneath the video and not here) as i would like for my listeners to feel welcomed to give more in thought towards those uncomfortable conversations than in clout, which is what my subject matter is based on ..."Commentary on our shared world".In hopes that this may be fruitful to you i look forward to your response

Back when the video clip was as important as the song, sadly it's no longer like that

@Cymes

I didn't remember the melody , but the bear from the video got stuck in my memory. Today , on a whim , I searched "Bjork bear" and here I am.

@funnyusername8635

Amazon Music just suggested this song to me and I was immediately reminded of the video age not thinking of it for years. The song and the video are so deeply connected for me. It may be that this was getting more play on Much Music (Canadian MTV) than on local radio where I lived.

@Jupiter_Rsabbit

bruh i was literally just on everlong and you commented there too XD

@attilamurvai3108

yeah? or maybe you are just not looking my guy

@braidena1633

@@attilamurvai3108 I don't think the video was ever as important as the song. Maybe in some cases like Freak on a Leash? They're more just entertaining commercials
