I tried tell u its over
You call over and over
You don't listen you do what you wanna
Wish I would've never put it on you
I feel like I dont know ya
I tried tell you its over
You don't listen you do what you want
Missed call going thru my phone dam
You movin too fast bae slow down
Nah I aint tryna be meet ya whole fam
Nah i aint tryna be ya ol man
Make it so hard just to let go
Swear that you nothing like the next hoe
Seen It All Before I got deja vu
No it ain't no future between me and you
I'm happy I'm living why you got an attitude
You don't respect my hustle I make a lot of moves
Rags to knots I spent some guap on my jewels
Yeah the racks is all blue like a bruise
Fall in love I leave that to the fools
Do no cap I tell the truth whole truth
You climax and then you relapse to
I shoulda known it couldn't be that cool
I tried tell u its over
You call over and over
You don't listen you do what you wanna
Wish I would've never put it on you
I feel like I dont know ya
I tried tell you its over
You don't listen you do what you want
Innocent like you dont do no wrongs
I feel like I no longer know you for real
Late night you calling to come over to chill
I know I shouldn't but I still
You can't deal with the life that I live
Im honest from the beginning I told you
Its major to you but to me it's normal
Didn't know how fast you would be gon
So infatuated with a G
You wont even let a nigga breath
Money calling you wont let a nigga leave
Thinking im lying bout where I be
I couldn't take it I had to flee
Kept it real with you yea a whole band
Stressed me out I need a whole Xan
I tried telling you its over
Even tried giving you closure
I tried tell you its over
You call over and over
You don't listen you do what you wanna
Wish I would've never put it on you
I feel like I dont know ya
I tried tell you its over
You don't listen you do what you want
Innocent like you dont do no wrongs
The lyrics of Black's song Paradise depict a tumultuous relationship between two people where one person wants to end the relationship while the other person refuses to let go. The song expresses frustration with someone who doesn't listen or respect boundaries even when they're clearly expressed. The person who wants to end the relationship regrets getting involved in the first place and feels that they no longer know the other person. The chorus, "I tried to tell you it's over, you don't listen, you do what you want," is a clear indication of the power dynamic at play.
Throughout the song, the person who wants to end the relationship expresses their desire to move on and be happy, but they're constantly being pursued by the other person. The line "You can't deal with the life that I live" implies that the two people are living very different lifestyles and the pursuing partner is struggling to accept it. The use of the phrase "I feel like I don't know ya" reinforces the idea that the relationship has changed over time and the person who wants to end things no longer recognizes the other person.
In conclusion, the lyrics of Paradise convey the struggle of ending a relationship with someone who refuses to let go. It's a relatable song for anyone who has been in a similar situation and the frustration and regret are palpable throughout the song.
