1) Black Ace was the most frequently used stage name of American blues musician Babe Kyro Lemon Turner (b 21 December 1907, Hughes Springs, Texas – d 7 November 1972, Fort Worth, Texas), who was also known as B.K. Turner, Black Ace Turner or Babe Turner.
He was raised on the family farm, and taught himself to play guitar, performing in east Texas from the late 1920s on. During the early 1930s he began playing with Smokey Hogg and Buddy Woods, a Hawaiian-style guitarist who played with the instrument flat on his lap. Turner then bought a National steel guitar, and began playing what one later critic called "Hawaii meets the Delta," smooth and simple blues.
In 1937 Turner recorded six songs (possibly with Hogg as second guitarist) for Chicago's Decca Records in Dallas, including the blues "Black Ace". In the same year, he started a radio show in Fort Worth, using the cut as a theme song, and soon assumed the name.
In 1941 he appeared in The Blood of Jesus, an African-American movie produced by Spencer Williams Jr.. In 1943 he was drafted into the army, and gave up playing music for some years. However, in 1960, Arhoolie Records owner Chris Strachwitz persuaded him to record an album for his label. His last public performance was in a 1962 documentary, The Blues, and he died of cancer in 1972.

Black Ace Lyrics
La-la-la-la
La-la-la la-la
Ay-yeah
Had to start with another acknowledgment
Of the things you've been doing, a college kid
You done moved from the broke to hope of the people
Now money is flowing, that scholarship
You proud of yourself, I know it (I know it)
You proud of your wealth you show it
Got it all on the Sly like Cooper my guy
But don't think the people don't notice
Let me contemplate
The moment you slipped in is when you slipped up
I always thought you'd hold it down forever like that nip-tuck
I always thought you pushed and kept it moving like that Nip Hus'
Excuse my views but Summer '16's over and you still sweating the small stuff
Now Summer '19 passed and somehow you survived
All those late night trips turned to early morning drives
Trade your hoodies and your jeans for some slacks, suits and ties
You not a businessman, you a
Nah, I know you know that line
I'm impressed by the messes you get into
Somehow you clean 'em but your mental booking the same venue
The cerebellum stadium, arena close to shutting down
The stakes high, yo color brown
Drip in the sadness, you drown (Dripping in sadness, I'm drowning, drowning)
But I'm not a fan of these toxic spaces you claim
And I know it's not the fans or the fame
You just been dealing with more of the same
Highly gifted with a lot of shame
High power to the one you claim
High mileage on your feet and eyelids
High esteem except for the days it rains
Had to start with another acknowledgment
Of the things you've been doing, a college kid
You done moved from the broke to hope of the people
Now money is flowing, that scholarship
You proud of yourself, I know it (I know it)
You proud of your wealth you show it
Got it all on the Sly like Cooper my guy
But don't think the people don't notice
I've been walking my (Shh)
Now I'm talking my (Ahh)
Hitting my bop, I love switching it up
Giannis, I keep it a buck
Brady, I go for the Bucs, I make moves, I
Regulate, Renovate, Separate
Shuffle my deck
Renovate, Regulate
Deal me in, High Stakes
When they hear this beat, they think of "stoney" after
I'm a lonely rapper with no puff to pass up
But my past went up in the smoke
I guess that's why I had to choke
They call me Big Poppa like I'm Juicy
They want me to go bad like I'm Boosie
I'm gonna rock jeans and a polo
Man, they want me blinged out like I'm Gucci
And maybe I will
Humble myself like I'm Uncle Phil
Carlton with my education
Aunt Viv, new iterations of my lifestyle
See me living like Hillary
Met an Ashley, now my heart's killing me
Looking back, I was waiting too much
My pension to serve was always my crutch
But I don't have no master (Namaste, no-masta)
Not even myself
I don't mean someone to own, want to be somebody's own
More than just somebody's clone
A perfect match
Striking the flames of attachment
Hitting her back, now her heart doing some backflips
I feel crazy every time there's peace
My life Fugazi when it comes to that
Back to back, Miami Heat, still feel it even with my cap
Lucy lips left they mark on me, told my last girl, this-this ain't free
Had to tell my truth over beats so it can't be bleached
But if I'm being honest, I just like to rap
Had to start with another acknowledgment
Of the things you've been doing, a college kid
You done moved from the broke to hope of the people
Now money is flowing, that scholarship
You proud of yourself, I know it (I know it)

Get some rundown, get some run (Run)
Baby come on (Come on, come on)
Get some rundown, get some run (Run, run, run)
Baby come on (Come on, come on, come on)
Get some rundown, get some run (Get some rundown, get some rundown, get some)
Baby come on (Come on, come on, come on, come on)
Get some rundown, get some run (Get some rundown, get some rundown, get some)
Baby come on (Come on, come on, come on, come on)
My people we grow, we speak, we shine, we tweet
We do what it do just to make ends meet
While they so lackadaisical
We in a maze, it go left, it go right
Put a wall in our face so we step to the side
Got a lot on my plate so I don't need no sides
(So I don't need no, so I don't need no sides)
Want my child to thrive on this Earth
A judgment cannot be determined by birth
A judgment cannot be determined by birth
So I'm loving my skin 'till the day it gets packed in the dirt
Gardening season, I'm putting these seeds in your heart and your noggin
Last letter I wrote, yeah the beat wasn't knocking
I'm hoping you listen this time
Tried to critique while I gave you your shine
Had to start with another acknowledgment
Of the things you've been doing, a college kid
