Black Halos Lyrics

3,5,0,1,2,5, Go!

I was there in the back stage,
When the first light came around.
I grew up like a changeling,
To win the first time around.
I can see all the weakness.
I pick all the faults.
Well I concede all the faith tests,
Just ot stick in your throats.

31G, 31G, 31G

I hung around in your soundtrack,
To mirror all that you've done,
To find the right side of reason,
To kill the three lies for one,
I can see all the cold facts.
I can see through your eyes.
All this talk made no contact.
No matter how hard we tried.

31G, 31G, 31G

I can still hear the footsteps.
I can see only walls.
I slid into your man-traps,
With no hearing at all.
I just see contradiction,
Had to give up the fight,
Just to live in the past tense,
To make believe you were right.

31G, 31G, 31G

Overall Meaning

"Go!" - Black Halos's song Warsaw is a poignant and introspective exploration of the struggles of identity, the harsh realities of the music industry, and the search for truth and meaning. The lyrics follow a narrator who has been backstage and is reflecting on his experiences, and the feelings of disillusionment that they have caused. He speaks of growing up as a changeling, someone who has always felt out of place, and how this helped him win early on in his career. However, he now sees all the weakness and picks all the faults, unable to ignore the harsh realities he has encountered.

The chorus repeats the line "31G, 31G, 31G," which is thought to be a reference to the studio that the band recorded the song in, and may represent a desire to return to a time before the struggles began. In the second verse, the singer speaks of hanging around in the soundtrack of someone else's life, mirroring their actions and trying to find reason and truth in their words. However, he notes that all of this talk made no contact, and despite their best efforts, they couldn't break through.

The final verse sees the singer reflecting on their own struggles to break through the walls that have been built around them. They speak of sliding into man-traps, unable to hear any warning, and feeling lost in the face of the many contradictions they encounter. Ultimately, they have had to give up the fight and live in the past tense, pretending that those who tried to silence them were right all along. In this way, the song captures the sense of disillusionment and the struggle to find identity and meaning in a world that can be harsh and unforgiving.
