I Do It For Hip Hop
Black Hippy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Wise city rhymer
The ghetto Moses tryna get my homies outta bondage
Need some time to think so I'm rolling up the ganja
Sneaking out my paws, know I'm blowing on the bombest.
Bars looking nice, my rap smoke polish
A God on the mic, wack rappers pay homage
Leader of the new school,
When I talk, make em' press rewind.
I do it for HipHop, fuck what you heard
Do it for my nigga's who voices will never be heard
Listen, blessed with talent, voice of the young people
Went from a zero, now my city label me as a hero
Nine, double-O, five, nine, that's where the chopper sing
Sound so melodic, the problems, that's what the drama brings
Dog I'm gutted as ever strivin' for finer things
One-O-Five Eastbound, swervin' in and out of lanes
This game filled with a lot of lames
On the real my nigga, this shit gotta change
From Cali to Queens, Top Dawg guarantee
We the new regime.
Like, 4 years ago
I was writing rhymes in my Chevy Celebrity
Spittin' the hardness, says Doc Elery
It's prophecy I shine, ask cashanova
Burnin' up my notepad tryna ash my dolca
Sober...
For the game you decayed I sow it up
You must say yes too much,
Cause you don't know enough
To match my caliber, I'm a whole new breed
Ya stamina's shot, I'm movin' like the old .23
For Hiphop I breath...
Have a seat, I'm a beast
And I'm ready for war with no peace
Seems that they forgot to rap, you had to think
They just wanna be ballers when you see em' on the screen
Who am I to say the grass ain't green
Who am I to say the next generation don't share the same vision as we
I will say this, it's less likely,
It's me having clean piss
Rest in peace
To be continued...
In the song "I Do It For Hip Hop" by Black Hippy, the rapper uses clever lyrics and wordplay to express his love and dedication to the hip-hop genre. He starts by describing himself as a "full-time grinder" and "wise city rhymer," emphasizing his commitment to his craft. He then references his desire to help his community, comparing himself to the "ghetto Moses tryna get my homies outta bondage." The rapper takes a moment to reflect on his life, smoking marijuana to clear his mind and focus on his music. He describes his skills on the mic as godly, and other rappers pay homage to him. He considers himself a leader of the new school and his raps contain incredible lines that make listeners hit the rewind button. He does it for hip hop and his fellow artists whose voices may not be heard. He concludes by saying that he is blessed with talent and is labeled a hero in his city. He ends by saying that Top Dawg is the new regime, and they guarantee to change the rap game.

The same feelings. No one can do better ! That's Official. And Kendrick will release his LP on the 2nd of October. He Said that it'll be the best hip hop album for 20 years. I believe him for sure. And the whole world will know him. I still keep the exclusivity of this man few months, hard to admit that after even fake people and youngsters will love him. But I gotta recognize that he deserve to be known even on the moon. #HiiiPower

Spoken into existence brother, now we wait for the coming of Soul Brother Number Two. But until then, as you said I will love the exclusivity of him until then. Will probably take longer than a few months unlike Kdot but Soulos music is something different and will take time.
