Iron Man
Black Sabbath Lyrics

I am iron man

Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all
Or if he moves will he fall?

Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We'll just pass him there
Why should we even care?

He was turned to steel
In the great magnetic field
When he traveled time
For the future of mankind

Nobody wants him
He just stares at the world
Planning his vengeance
That he will soon unfurl

Now the time is here
For iron man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once saved

Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge

Heavy boots of lead
Fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron man lives again

I have the same sadness I you mate. Let's be encouraged by the fact that we could still know the greatest Heavy Metal band of all time.
I love Iron Maiden, they are much more professional in terms of constancy and quality of the shows, with incredible songs, lyrics, etc.

But every time I stop to think about what Sabbath created and did... I can't do anything except to be astonished with the creators and godfathers of heavy metal.
I just listened to this song thousands of time, and even though at some point we kinda abuse it, being one of theirs greatest hits, when we return to this song after some time, I appreciate this marvelous piece of art of riff, bass lines, and Ozzy's voice... No words, it's just wonderful!!

Long live Sabbath!!

And for everyone reading this, who only heard Ozzy and Dio eras in Sabbath, go look for Sabbath with Tony Martin to see how incredible they were. Also check Sabbath Born Again, with Ian Gillan. Those Sabbath eras have incredible and high quality stuff.

bro, when Tony was soloing in the end and everyone was smiling, everyone looked so happy and like they were having a great time and i swear that put one of the biggest smiles on my face i’ve ever had

I was at the Glasgow show on this tour, don't think I've ever been at such a diverse gig or such a happy one. There were guys older than the band who'd been fans for 50 years right down to a bunch of teenagers next to me who were at their first ever gig. Everyone had an absolute blast and couldn't speak afterwards for all the singing we'd done.

I still get emotional thinking about it, the sheer power of music bringing so many people so much joy.

Yeah, it was as if the years melted away and they were just a bunch of lads from Birmingham laying down the heaviest music the world had ever heard again for the first time...and yet also bonded by the years and the miles and the lives lived, without ego or pretense...full circle....as complete as could be in the absence of Bill Ward...

just imagine we are just all part of a dream, of them becoming famous, this has not happened and were are just a product of him dreaming of becoming great.

@mark’s I may be wrong but it sounds like the solo he plays in recorded version makes up the first part while the rest of it in the live seems to be improvised. It could be because it reminds them of times where music flowed to them like this and relived memories of making new songs.
