The song "Amigo" by Black Slate is a message of hope and encouragement directed towards those who are being mistreated or misled. The word "amigo" which translates to "friend" in Spanish, is used in a universal sense to represent anyone who may be going through tough times, struggling to find their way or faced with challenges.
The lyrics mention the importance of having faith in Jah (which refers to God), and trusting that he will guide you through difficult situations. The phrase "leave it to Jah" encourages one to trust in the divine and not rely on human efforts alone. The repetition of the lines "Shoop, shoop, wahoooha" and "Oh, no, wahoooha" serve as vocal echoes that imbue the song with a sense of urgency and emotion.
Overall, "Amigo" is an uplifting and inspiring song that calls for solidarity and unity among people. It reminds us that we are all capable of making a positive impact in the world and that sometimes all we need is a little help from our friends.

@CustomGadget the 80s were good times indeed ...
& this song is to me a little sad, but also very hopeful & about (true) friendship & expectations & ...
I was in an emotional dip at the time I wrote my comment, hoping for better times ...
however it didn't turn out like I wished/hoped/expected it would ...
part due to some opportunities I let pass by, thinking it wasn't "the right time",
thinking I had some things to prepare first before "making the moves" ...
"the cards changed" ...
I thought that if I would arrange some things, it would all work out, but it didn't ...
maybe I didn't work hard enough to achieve my goals ...
I got stuck ...
:(
& nowadays are strange times with covid19 ...
hearing this song still gives me goosebumps ... :o :)

I am 60, it's 2021 and I am dancing around my kitchen dreaming of my baggy jeans in size 10, white pointy heel shoes and sinbad belts. What a fabulous time to be young. Jah will guide us home xx
