For me, they are one of the best new wave bands, they really understand and can capture the spirit of these classic epic metal bands from the 80s. In addition, the musicians put a lot of emphasis on creating atmospheres, appropriately obscure production and settled in an unexplored niche of epic metal. Black Sword Thunder Attack chose the company of such bands as Warlord, Lordian Guard, Longings Past, early Adramelch from Italy and Ageless Wisdom and managed to create music that would not embarrass them in such a respectable group. It is also worth noting that although strong inspirations from the work of William Tsamis (RIP) are evident, the album is by no means a ripoof and has its own character and atmosphere. The album is clearly more dark and sorcery than the mass, apocalyptic work of LG.
