BVB has a long and complicated history. From 2006 through 2009, they've had so many members come and go, and it was during that time when they made their Never Give In EP (of which this version of K&P is from). The lineup who recorded it, had Andy on vocals, Chris Stewart and James Dorman on guitars, Robert Thomas on bass, and Zack Riegler on drums. After Andy got the sole rights to the band's name and music, he relocated from Cincinnati to LA, found Chris and Sandra (the people in this music video), and they made this music video with the original recording of Knives and Pens, but it caused some serious royalty issues between him and the Ohio-based lineup. By the time they recorded the "We Stitch These Wounds" album, Jake Pitts, Jinxx, and Ashley Purdey had joined, and to get around the royalty issues, they completely rewrote Knives & Pens, We Stitch These Wounds, Morticians Daughter, and other songs from their first two EPs, and even wrote in guitar solos from Jake on almost every song. There was a lot of animosity between Andy and the old BVB members for years, but last I checked, they seemed to have long since buried the hatchet, and some of them have said they've since become fans of BVB's music.
