Saviour
Black Veil Brides Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I never meant to be the one who kept you from the dark
But now I know my wounds are sewn
Because of who you are
I will take this burden on and become the holy one

But remember I am human
And I'm bound to sing this song
So hear my voice remind you not to bleed
I am here a savior
Will be there
When you are feeling alone, oh
A savior for all that you do
So you live freely without their harm

So here I write my lullaby to all the lonely ones
Remember as you learn to try to be the one you love
So I can take this pen and teach you how to live
What is left unsaid, the greatest gift I give

So hear my voice remind you not to bleed
I am here

A savior
Will be there
When you are feeling alone, oh
A savior
For all that you do
So you live freely without their harm

A savior
Will be there
When you are feeling alone, oh
A savior
For all that you do
So you live freely without their harm

When I hear your cries
Praying for light
I will be there

When I hear your cries

Praying for light
I will be there

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Black Veil Brides' song Saviour revolve around themes of fear, self-discovery, and redemption. The song talks about feeling lost and unsure of oneself, struggling to find a sense of purpose and hope. Andy Biersack's lyrics represent an inner dialogue, as he addresses his own insecurities and fears, asking questions about communicating with others and guarding one's own heart.

The song turns to a more hopeful tone when the lyrics describe growing beyond past traumas and realizing that there is more to life than just existing. Biersack speaks about finding strength in his own vulnerability, resolving to try harder to become the person he is meant to be. Finally, the song resolves with Biersack acknowledging the listener, whom he sees as a savior figure, giving hope to those who feel lost and alone.

@christj2057

Listen to the original BVB Savior, it’s originally acoustic. Doesn’t seem all that different if they have acoustic and violins in this track too since it’s a part 2 ;-;

Never to old to rock man. I'm 26. I love all sorts of music. Mainly metalcore/rock, rap, rock rap, oldies like Jonny Cash, I love me some Jonny Cash. Country of course. A mixed variety. I don't listen to pop music much.
