Blacklite District is originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota, and was founded by guitarist Kyle Pfeiffer, and vocalist Roman James. After years of writing songs and playing live in the Black Hills area, Kyle and Roman were discovered by Grammy Award-winning producer, Stephen Short in early 2011. This brought upon two new members to bring into the equation, bassist Chauncey “CK” Köchel, and session drummer Matt O'Rourke. CK and Matt began rehearsing with the band in the weeks leading up to entering the world’s largest residential recording studio, Sonic Ranch. With producer Stephen Short and engineer Charles Godfrey on board, Blacklite District recorded their 7-track debut album, “This is Where it Ends”, in the summer of 2011.
Following the completion of the album, the band relocated to Los Angeles, and has accomplished a lot in a short period of time. On September 30, the group's first single, "I'm Stil Right Here", debuted at Active Rock Radio in 5 states in the Midwest on X-ROCK 101.1 (KDDX), where it eventually hit the Top 20. On October 28, BLD debuted live at the World Famous Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA. On 11-11-11, "This is Where it Ends" went on sale to digital retailers and has so far gotten rave reviews.
With a debut album out worldwide, a hit single at radio, and up-coming tour dates, it’s sure to say that this band strives for success. “We look forward to touring and getting our music out there,” says singer Roman James. “We know people are going to dig what they hear, especially if they’re tired of all the generic sounding music being released in todays 'sub-par' music industry.” Blacklite District combines heaviness with catchiness and has a distinct sound that separates them from other bands.
In early 2012, the band began a monumental promotion campaign in support of "This is Where it Ends", which will continue through out the year. The band's second single, "Left Behind", will be released to radio in new markets.
In the fall of 2012, BLD relocated from Hollywood, CA to Orlando, FL after signing a new management deal with famed Creed and Paramore manager Jeff Hanson, and will release a new album in late 2012 on Silent Majority Group/Warner Music Group.

Blacklite District Lyrics

So let's cut to the next scene
Where the talent so about it and the vibe it's right
Got me spun like a dolphin
Now there's nothing left to fear
Lady luck is over here
And she's rolling for me
This time I rolled the dice and I won
Even though I played it just for fun
Streaking while the night still so young
Oh yeah I gambled and I won
Oh we can hold on, we can fall down, we can go all in
It's just how we do it
With so much riding on this hand she better blow again
It's double or nothing
Now there's nothing left to fear
Lady luck is over here
And she's rolling for me
This time I rolled the dice and I won
Even though I played it just for fun
Streaking while the night still so young
Oh yeah I gambled and I won
She's with me, I'm all in
She's down this hand im holding
The grand prize is coming home with me tonight
The lyrics to Blacklite District's song "I Gambled and I Won" express the thrill of taking a risk and winning big. The singer senses that their current situation isn't going to work out, so they transition to a new scenario with better prospects. The "talent" and "vibe" of the new environment have them feeling as if they're "spun like a dolphin," caught up in the excitement and possibility of what's to come.
Despite playing only for fun, the singer takes a chance and ends up winning big. Lady luck is on their side, guiding the roll of the dice, and they streak while the night is still young. The gambler feels unstoppable and invincible, as if they can overcome anything in that moment. The gamble pays off, and they're confident that this win will lead to even greater successes in the future.
The overall theme of the song is taking risks and daring to live life on the edge. The singer champions the excitement and thrill of living in the moment and taking chances. They acknowledge that things might not always work out, but that there's a certain magic and joy to be found in going all in and potentially coming out on top.

Yea the lyrics seems like cuphead scenes in the casino, when they won everything and then the devil makes the deal and slaves them.

I love this song seriously. I'm ADDICTED. Completely and utterly. I wish you wouldn't delete the old ones though. My childhood needs to be preserved.
