Blackmill started of producing music at the age of 8 when he received his first musical instrument for his birthday - an Acoustic Guitar which he still plays to this day.

At the age of 15 he started producing trance and uploading them to youtube under the alias "Robert J.C" As Dubstep grew throughout 2010 Blackmill took a shine to this new genre. Blackmill began producing dubstep. It's been proven to be a hit after he remixed Ellie Goulding's "Your Song" which took off straight away. Blackmill first ever debut album was Reach for Glory which was released Feb 28, 2011.

I struggled with addiction and severe depression for a long time. I would close my eyes while I listened to blackmill and imagine myself flying through the sky and mountains. It would make me feel so far away from my problems and just let me be “free” if that makes any sense. I got help with my depression and that helped me quit opiates. 8 years ago I heard this. I had just bought my house in the middle of Hicksville USA in South Carolina. I'm from California and never thought I'd hear this kind of music again. I'm in my acre large vegetable garden and BOOM. The high school half a mile away plays Blackmill every day at the end of the day for all of the students to chill out to. What a vibe.

I remember listening to this as a kid, maybe 7 years old. I’d ask my older brother to play it over and over again to fall asleep. he was kind and would smile and play it. I’ve turned 18 now, and life is very different. but this song reminds me of memories so close to my heart I barely have words to explain them.

I discovered blackmill many years ago during a very sad time in life, here i am years later, older, wiser. Dealing with hard times and I come across this song. 2013: The end of summer after graduating from high school, not knowing what the future holds. Knowing that there is no going back to public school, no more drama, no fights, no more walking the campus and trying to be the popular kid, no detentions, no caring who is dating who. Closing the last page to a graphic novel of a comic book.

2020: Quarter of the way through this huge Stephen King size novel of a book. Still working on getting my life together. Hearing this song again brings back the nostalgia of how simple things were. I was 17 when this song came out, and now I am 25 about to be 26.

This song is a decade old today.

I was a teenager barely getting my license when this song appeared in my life. I remember it held an important spot on my morning playlist - it was the last song to play before I walked into school.

I'd wake up, start playing some music to get ready. Didn't care what played, then I'd go outside and get all my motorcycle gear on, queue up this song to play next, and it would finish right as I was pulling up to school. "Let it come and let it be" was my motto and senior quote.

This song hits a special place in my heart. I first heard it when my best friend put it on. I didn’t get it at first, he rode his bike everywhere and had great taste in music. Such a passionate dude full of life. He was hit and killed while riding his bike and driver fled the scene in August of 2012. Anniversary coming up. Tragic way to lose someone like him. I heard it again at a place I was eating just after his passing and the full treatment of this song hit me. It helped me greave his passing for the whole next year and it became one of my favorite songs of all time. RIP Mike Vega.

I miss the time it was so easy, just going to school and then playing with your friends outside. This song changed my life. First time it ever came on, I was hardcore into drugs, i had overdosed on DXM (robitussen)
I started to have a vision, sucking me out of consciousness. In my vision, i awoke in the ground. I can see dirt and rocks walling me in. I look up above me to see my family and friends, al crying and holding each other close. My brother breaks down in tears as he’s giving my eulogy. Saying how “unfair” my death was.
I don’t touch that shit anymore, it was a 3rd eye vision and i know it. Thank you for saving me blackmill

@Evilzin Abyssranger i get where you’re coming from. Drugs definitely never make you cool. But I’ve had some life changing trips that completely changed my head space. Honestly drugs can be very therapeutic, it just must be used with the right intentions in the right setting. Mdma studies have shown it can help with ptsd. Mushrooms increase seratonin levels even after the high. Ketamine is very helpful for a number of things.
Drugs have their benefit, and downfall. As most everything does.
