Real Love
Blanca Lyrics

This isn't easy
For me to admit
I got a fire inside and some words I know I can't keep in
I see faith turnin'
Into a show
Of Sundays and sermons
And words gettin' caught in the flow
Oh, but we got real pain and real fears
Thirstin' for the dryin' of our real tears
It's not satisfyin' anymore
Ain't it true that the veil was torn

I don't need no stained glass
To be washed in His blood
I don't need no perfect, put together pretty words
To be enough, no
I want Jesus and His real love
Somethin' that I crave deep inside of my bones
So you can leave your religion at home

Spent my life tryin'
To keep all the rules
Now I know it's about what He's already done
Not about what I think that I gotta do

I don't need no stained glass
To be washed in His blood
I don't need no perfect, put together pretty words
To be enough, no
I want Jesus and His real love
Something that I crave deep inside of my bones
So you can leave your religion at home

I want real, real love, yeah

I got real pain and real fears
Thirstin' for the dryin' of real tears
It's not satisfyin' anymore
Ain't it true that the veil was torn

I don't need no stained glass
To be washed in His blood
I don't need no perfect, put together pretty words
To be enough, no
I want Jesus and His real love
Somethin' that I crave deep inside of my bones
So, you can leave your religion at home

I want real, real love
I want real, real love (love, yeah)

I want real, real love
Oh, yeah, yeah

Overall Meaning

Blanca’s Real Love is a passionate song about the longing for a genuine relationship with faith, rather than the formalities of religion. The lyrics express the frustration with the showmanship of religious presentations and the desire for a true connection with faith. Blanca admits that even though it’s not easy to confess, she has a fire inside of her with words she can no longer keep in. The song takes a critical exploration of faith, admitting that it's normal to have fears, pain, and crave the drying of real tears despite the religious facades.

The lyrics repeatedly speak of how satisfying it is to have a real love with Jesus, without the brittle appearance of religion. Blanca sings, “I want Jesus and his real love, something that I crave deep inside of my bones.” This line insists that a true relationship with Jesus comes from the heart at the deepest level of our being rather than from the external and performative aspects of religion.

In conclusion, Real Love is a song that encourages listeners to look beyond the stereotypes and dividers of traditional religion and embrace the liberating experience of genuine faith. It portrays an honest revelation that the religious structures do not always provide a complete pathway to salvation, and the desire for a tangible relationship with Jesus is more critical in our spiritual journey.

Christianity is not a religion, it is so much more, it is a relationship with Jesus.

@Mari-il4bw

Peter van der Weiden Yep Jesus and religion are different things and many people see Jesus in a bad light because of the religion that surrounds him so it’s easy to get the wrong impression of him, but if they looked deeper they’d discover something beautiful.

I am sorry you think Christianity is not a religion, because you are wrong. If you are truly a believer in Christ then you will trust in his words and not the words of man. Christianity has become a religion our pastors, priests and ministers have become todays Pharisees and that is why so many people are leaving the church. Here is a reminder of what Christ has taught us.
I am quoting from:
"Love thy Neighbor - Christ's Answer to Religion
Love thy neighbor was, in part, Jesus' answer when the Pharisees, the chief religious sect of that day, asked Him about the greatest commandment in the Law (See Matthew 22:36-40). These religious leaders had made almost an art form of classifying all the various laws and giving them relative degrees of importance, so in asking Jesus this question, their aim was to test Him. His answer stunned them: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. Jesus was summing up all the law in these two statements. If we love the Lord God with all our heart, soul and mind, loving our neighbor is the natural result. "

This song sounds like my struggle and i feel like it was written for me. I grew up in catholic, Pentecostal, and Jehovah's witnesses religions so as an adult I was confused about which is the right religion. A year ago i almost died and I told my husband I dont care anymore I want Jesus. We found a nondenominational church that focuses on the Gospel and wow Jesus has come into my life and revealed so much to me through the holy spirit and showed me where all the religions were wrong through his word. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and his salvation is a gift. Praise God!!

Yeaaa i was catholic too and religion has delayed my meeting with the Christ, but when he touched me, my eyes were open, and doors were open, Jesus transformed me and he is still, this song is so deep and can be related to so much ppl here, we are saved through His sacrifice and not our own deeds, when we understand all the messages of this song the Holy spirit revealed to her we really will see God's glory more❤ God bless you

@DreamyGreenery

Wow...me too grew up Catholic and then on to Jehovah's Witnesses for a time! Guilt, idol worship, people pleasing with ZERO passion. I just wanted Jesus too...just a real relationship with my Savior!
