Founded for the sole purpose of raising $700K to purchase a functioning airship for a music festival that will take place over Lake Ontario, the band is desperately seeking exposure in hopes of generating hype and finance for this important project.
“Blimp Rock excel in an area that few bands can get away with; pop or rock music with witty lyrics that straddle the line between sharply witty and outright comedy. Acts like Christian Hansen and The Burning Hell have both done this well, and Blimp Rock can count itself safely within their ranks. After all, how many bands could make a song about Lake Ontario lifeguards be entertaining?” -- Gray Owl Point
“Swampy, bong-littered grooves and slick, silvery guitar lines pepper the entirety of the album – a warm welcome for the summer to come and a sinful array of festivities. It’s a spoonful of Southern Ontario shtick that’s sure to please even the more cynical connoisseurs of scrappy garage rock.” – Beatroute

Ode to Faults
Blimp Rock Lyrics
Come to terms with your faults
Realize they're your faults
Though they're probably not my fault
Come to terms with your faults
I was born with shoddy pitch
Choir tossed me in the ditch
Only child to be kicked
Out of choir at age 6
Family did not join in bands
Nor play instruments with hands
Some tried hard and thought it damned
Knew music was not for them
I played trumpet in grade school
But my friends thought it uncool
So we just had spit valve duels
Girls were right to say boys drooled
At my high school talent night
I tried out and sung sublime
Judges politely declined
All the others got in fine
I tried solos on back
Put up several myspace tracks
Forced my friends to give feedback
Get a new singer perhaps?
Open mic at Molly Blooms
Such a full supportive room
First time I played my own tunes
They gave up on me real soon
But I did not give in then
Made a record with my friends
First review 6 out of 10
"Sounds like music for children"
Come to terms with your faults
