Well, this may be one of the rare cases where the cover version is better than the original. I like this but it's just alright. It doesn't quite capture the feeling of like, "welcome home, come join our lovely beautiful, communal celebration and brotherhood". Christian/teen pop group Jump5 captured that much better and their version had more energy and liveliness. So yeah their version is better, but I still like this version.

At the time they were making this movie Phil Collins was around 50 years old. The Blind Boys of Alabama had been singing together for over 60 years. It seems only natural for them to sound better as they had been singing together longer than he had been alive.
