Not Now
Blink 182爀 Lyrics

Come here, please hold my hand LORD now
Help me, I'm scared please show me how
To fight this, God has a master plan
And I guess, I am in his demand

Please save me, this time I cannot run
And I'll see, you when this is done
And now I, have come to realize
That you are, the one who's left behind
Please stay, until I'm gone
I'm here, hold on, to me
I'm right here, waiting

I see, the light it feels good
And I'll come, back soon just like you would
It's useless, my name has made the list
And I wish, I gave you one last kiss

Please stay, until I'm gone
I'm here, hold on, to me
I'm right here, waiting
And take, my one last breath
And don't forget
That I will be right here, waiting [Repeat: x3]

uh what

I'm the son of rage and love
The Jesus of Suburbia
The bible of none of the above
On a steady diet of
Soda pop and Ritalin
No one ever died for my sins in hell
As far as I can tell
'Least the ones I got away with
And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
Get my television fix
Sitting on my crucifix
The living room, or my private womb
While the moms and Brads are away
To fall in love and fall in debt
To alcohol and cigarettes and Mary Jane
To keep me insane
Doing someone else's cocaine
And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
At the center of the Earth, in the parking lot
Of the 7-11 where I was taught
The motto was just a lie
It says, "Home is where your heart is, " but what a shame
'Cause everyone's heart doesn't beat the same
It's beating out of time
City of the dead (hey! Hey!)
At the end of another lost highway (hey! Hey!)
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned (hey! Hey!)
Lost children with dirty faces today (hey! Hey!)
No one really seems to care
I read the graffiti in the bathroom stall
Like the holy scriptures of a shopping mall
And so it seemed to confess
It didn't say much, but it only confirmed that
The center of the earth is the end of the world
And I could really care less
City of the dead (hey! Hey!)
At the end of another lost highway (hey! Hey!)
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned (hey! Hey!)
Lost children with dirty faces today (hey! Hey!)
No one really seems to care...
Hey!
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't care
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't care
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't care
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't care
I don't care!
Everyone's so full of shit
Born and raised by hypocrites
Hearts recycled, but never saved
From the cradles to the grave
We are the kids of war and peace
From Anaheim to the Middle East
We are the stories and disciples of
The Jesus of Suburbia
Land of make believe
And it don't believe in me
Land of make believe
And it don't believe
And I don't care! (Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!)
I don't care! (Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!)
I don't care! (Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!)
I don't care! (Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!)
I don't care!
Dearly beloved, are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying...
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that's in between insane and insecure
Ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Oh therapy, can you please fill the void? (Ooh, ooh)
Am I retarded, or am I just overjoyed? (Ooh, ooh, ooh)
Nobody's perfect, and I stand accused (ooh, ooh)
For lack of a better word, and that's my best excuse (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh
Ooh, ooh
To live and not to breathe
Is to die in tragedy
To run, to run away
To find what you believe
And I leave behind (ooh, ooh)
This hurricane of fucking lies (ooh, ooh)
I lost my faith to this
This town that don't exist
So I run, I run away
To the lights of masochists
And I leave behind (ooh, ooh)
This hurricane of fucking lies (ooh, ooh)
And I've walked this line (ooh, ooh)
A million and one fucking times (ooh, ooh)
But not this time!
I don't feel any shame, I won't apologize
When there ain't nowhere you can go
Running away from pain when you've been victimized
Tales from another broken... home!
You're leaving...
You're leaving...
You're leaving...
Ah, you're leaving home!

I bought this album the day it dropped, I was in 8th grade & still 2wo this day it's their best album in my opinion, (A) 4 Life

Punk Will Never Be Dead

Only the jerk offs that are against it
Will realize they shoulda coulda woulda been more relaxed aka partying with friends and family

Make Love, then maybe possibly War
But who Fawkin cares,
The world is a Hypocritical Contradiction of false hope, stick together and make the stand already instead of just talking about it

-This is Anthony Anarchy signing off.....

I don't think many people actually realize how much content the lyrics have behind every word. It is a really sad song that reflects the reality (not only in the U.S. Society) all around the world of the teenage years when parents are too busy on their jobs to take care of them. Billie Joel not only expresses the anger of the teenage that is lack of love (both from family and friends) but also the world they're immerse when drugs, sex and violence are the only companions they can have. If you really... I mean, REALLY pay attention to the lyrics, you'll find more than you can imagine in the message Billie is trying to give.

@MLP Cocoa Billy Joel is good too I like piano man

whydo youcare

I mean middle class angst isn't just your parents ignoring you mine is my dad like treating me like shit ever since I came out as transgender and like the current shit with my dad bringing back repressed memories of him being shitty when I was little and then the fact that I live in a conservative racist/lgbtphobic farm/mine town and only have one friend within driving distance and like maybe 3 in general and then my fucking aspergers makes me have a low tolerance for everything so my dad telling me "trans people are a cult" and yelling "youre a woman youll always be a woman no matter what" and making me feel like shit about not being equal to my neurotypical peers is like essentially rendering me a non functioning human being (sorry I needed to vent)

This song will never get old, coming from a broken home myself I would play this song as a teenager to take the pain away, now 32 it still takes me to there emotionally to fully understand the lyrics and how soul deep they are
