In my early 30's. If it does anyone any good, this song has actually gotten less sad with age. I'm much happier and more optimistic with less nostalgia and regrets than when I was younger :) Every year of my life has been better than the last. I feel I'm probably headed towards an overall bright future. I anticipate setbacks and down periods, but I always do better and continue getting further forward at the end of the day. Fuck the past. @I AM A QWEEN as someone who grew up on this music, there are TONS of amazing rappers out there, and they're talking about real issues and real struggles. If you feel like checking it out, I'd definitely recommend Kendrick Lamar, especially his "To Pimp a Butterfly" album. As well as Joyner Lucas and maybe some Dead Prez, depending on your political ideology. A Tribe Called Quest is also great. There's tons of great and meaningful rap out there, it's just not in the top 40.

Me too. I miss it. Back when I'd ride my bike to my friend's house, listening to Blink. I felt so optimistic about growing up, that everything would get better. This is a timeless song and means something different for each of us.

Blink 182 came out the the USS Nimitz in the Persian Gulf in summer 2003 and jammed for us in the hangar bay. Such an amazing show and momentary relief from the daily stress of a carrier at war.

Thanks fellas. That meant a lot for many of us, and one of the best memories we have from our time in the Navy.

Love Blink182 always have but this song was written to change the direction of the band a more serious tone with deep meaning and until you hear it several times over it doesn't hit you how good it is, short to the point, and moreover aimed at an older audience who appreciate the things or people they may have lost. I'll always love their fast paced anthemic songs but for me this one of their best songs without a doubt much neglected.

Matt had ONE really good performance at a private small show in the Netherdlands and dude he actually kills it he changes it a bit and stretches out the head part for a while and holds the note which is a slightly different sequence than other versions than I had previously seen played.

For those who care yes it’s My grandson he played these songs when he was alive he loved this group the picture is my grandson and my late husband they are laid to rest next to each other we played this at his funeral we have only got his memories and I am hear for his mother she is still distraught I’m 69 I listen to all his songs they help me feel near to him and I can be alone on here and hide my grief as I have other grandsons thank you for caring I’m not looking for sympathy It just helps me get through the pain I feel 🙏

I love this song. It reminds a lot of one of my good friends and his girlfriend, especially the part about living like Jack and Sally. He's very tall and lanky while she's about a foot shorter with waist length hair and both are very typically goth looking. which only furthers the connection.
