Ahh Blink would always be a part of me because it was my first ever concert oh so long ago. (Early 2000’s)

I think it was the summer after my freshman year, a friend didn’t have money for the ticket and so I covered her but whenever I asked for the money back, she said she didn’t have it. I gave up after asking her 3x in the first 2 months of sophomore year.

We eventually fell out of touch, though I’d see her around school once in awhile but we just had different interests so it was rare.

Literally on the last day of school senior year, she handed me $40 and I’m like, “what’s this?” She said she’s paying me back for the ticket. Me:😐

Needless to say I was totally caught off guard. It was 3 years and we didn’t even hang out or have classes together anymore. But at least she finally came through. Even my mom was shocked. I had to tell her since she was mad at her for not paying me back since I was working at 14 and she thought she was taking advantage of my paychecks.

But that concert was the biggest thing to change our little 14 year old lives.

I only clicked on the comments section to find out who ‘directed’ the video but had to join in and share my Blink 182 appreciation story with everyone else 😅
Ended up sharing the drawn out 3 year version of it.

My husband loved blink 182. I unfortunately he passed away from cancer. He said I remember Blink 182, that was when i was strong.He would have loved to see them in concert. I will never forget you my sweetie. He left a little baby who would never will know him, but if I can take her to see them one day she will have an idea what a great guy he was. I here they are doing concerts for 2018. God willing I will be able to take my daughter and son, and celebrate my husband's memory of good times.

Can we all just stop for a moment and admire the fact that Blink 182, got handed a F*** tonnes of money for a music video. They then chose to spend it on a simple camera and making other people enjoy their day. They literally threw money at people just because they had it there. Granted they made so much more from this video then they spent, but imagine saying to investors 'How will you spend this money?'

'Well honestly? We're just gonna get a camera and record ourselves doing whatever the F*** we want, we're gonna make someone's day, and generally just help whoever we see to have a good time'

Im 18 so i cant relate to a lot of the stories in the comments. However my nostalgia from blink 182 comes from playing halo 3 when i was roughly 8 or 9 and all my friends were 16 17 at the time and they listened to blink 182 so i always think of the days spent playing with them.

@Macblink Skylight Same here! First song I remember hearing was "All the Small things" in 2004 - I was somewhat nerdy before then ;) - and since then, Blink's music is my comfort zone when everything else seems to be changing too quickly, or falling apart. :)

I went to a Blink show in 2018 with my soulmate. She surprised me with tickets.
