Vision of Heaven
Bloc Party Lyrics

Vision of heaven
Walking up here
On my own
Telegenic
Windswept day
Desolate

Left my white Converse on the cold sand
Threw my mobile phone into the sea
I cannot be called or reached

Vision of heaven
No one around for miles

Cut the wires and the cables
That run under the sea
The walls are white, the rooms are cruel
In the house where I worry
And these days I just want to be alone
These days I just want to be alone

I cannot remember
The Lord's Prayer
I cannot remember
Oh, but I don't care
I cannot recall
My best friend's face
Blurs and outlines
Eternal fall

Cut the wires and the cables
That run under the sea
The walls are white, the rooms are cruel
In the house where I worry
And these days I just want to be alone
These days I just want to be alone

In 2020 still one of the best songs out there.. remembering stumbling across it for the first time. Perhaps these days more relevant than ever before

my first major heartbreak, my ex loved this song so much, he told me he always feeling suicidal ever since his father died, and whenever he had that feeling he drove around in his motorcycle listening to this song and just stay out until 3am when the streets really empty then he would feel okay again. it was heartbreaking when he opened up and told me that story :(
now whenever i listen to this it brings back those memories, i hate it love it. this song is so sad

This song is amazing to listen to at night when you're walking around in the empty streets, I wanna try that now.

Bloc party were actually a hard band to get into but now there is no way I could say a bad thing about them!

I know you left this comment 7 years ago, but same dude. Heard them on radio and hated them, then was given Silent Alarm and they became my favourite band ever.

I'm a big bloc party fan, and just heard of the b-sides to "a weekend in te city", and they have already blown my mind after 2 songs. Truly epic
