a) Blonde on Blonde was a guitar-led psychedelic rock group from South Wales. The band was originally formed in Newport in 1967 by vocalist/guitarist Ralph Denyer, drummer Les Hicks, bassist/organist Richard Hopkins and guitarist/sitar player Gareth Johnson. Even though they enjoyed strong reviews from music critics and achieved massive exposure playing before gigantic crowds at the 1969 Isle of Wight festival, they never managed to generate much in the way of sales. They disbanded in early 1972.
b) Blonde on Blonde was also the name of the short-lived 1970's British female singing duo consisting of ex-page 3 models Nina Carter and Jilly Johnson, whose best known release was a disco cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love."
c) Brisbane based rock 'n roll group. Great hair, even better legs...
Brisbane, Australia natives βBlonde On Blondeβ are a psychedelic indie rock five piece band who deliver a powerfully erotic musical tenor through salacious male and female duet vocals. Their passionately mind-bending demo released on their MySpace helped amass the international music worldβs attention, through their debut track βOh My, Oh My.β Following this, they took a temporary hiatus from the party scene of Brisbane Valley to concentrate their finances towards recording an album.
The psychrock ensemble sought after the help of Brisbane legendary multi-instrumentalist and producer/mixer Dave Atkins (Resin Dogs, Wolfmother). With this joining came their debut EP βTeaseβ, following many months of mixing and mastering of the eagerly awaited debut.
Their initial EP βTeaseβ received praise from both street press and online blogs, including www.whothehell.net. βTime Offβ magazine slotted Blonde On Blonde for single of the week in September 2009, surpassing heavyweights Weezer and Jay-Z.
Radio station 4ZZZ in local Brisbane pumped them up to high rotation, which subsequently drew them the number 1 spot in the Top 20 charts two weeks in a row. Blonde on blonde also received great honors when they were chosen by fellow psychedelic rock group βTAME IMPALAβ to support the Brisbane chapter of their May 2010 tour.
Blonde On Blonde continued on their path of victory with playing alongside Sydney omnipotent Wolfmother, Sugar Army, The Art, and even an east coast tour with fellow Brisbanites Dead Letter Circus. A feature in βBrisbane Newsβ labeled them as one of the cityβs next big things, spotlighting them on the cover.
With an alluring sound and a strong stage presence, expect to see Blonde On Blonde captivating audiences from down under to just about anywhere the FM dial can reach.

Blonde On Blonde Lyrics

Sandy marshland
I swirl sunlight and moonshine
Decoct the rising tide
I go bare breast and bare feet
To feel the wild wind
Feel the spaces between us
Empty then fill
Blue eye
I am everything honey
I am everything
I will kick thru the river
The stream to the end
I will listen to raven
And dogtree when they call
Tell me sister and brother your sufferings
So I know them
On my own skin
Smile cause I'm alive blue eye
Weave me in to the green
I am power and peace
I speak in circles
I speak in
I speak in circles
I speak in circles
Oceans of potions
Infusing violet
I am butter and honey
I only make amends
I make garlands
with the bends in stiff stems
Just the making can be the medicine
Smile cause I'm alive green eye
Im alive green eye
I am power and peace
I am power and peace
I got rainbow in coffee
Got clouds in my eyes
I slice hot bread for breakfast
Got birds with black eyes
They got stone beak and red crown
Their stories make me cry
I got rainbow in coffee got clouds in my eyes
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
I speak in I speak in circles
Circles I speak in circles
In "Circles," Blonde On Blonde uses vivid imagery to describe the feeling of oneness with nature, the power of the elements, and the interconnectedness of all living things. The opening lines "Oceans of potions / Sandy marshland" set the tone for the rest of the song, which incorporates natural elements like moonshine, rising tides, wild winds, and green hills. The singer of the song (presumably the singer) goes barefoot and bare-chested to feel the full force of the natural world around her, becoming a part of it.
The song also describes the importance of communication within communities. The singer urges her "sisters and brothers" to share their sufferings so that she can "know them / On my own skin." She emphasizes the idea that our struggles are interconnected, and that by understanding each other's pain we can begin to heal as a collective.
Overall, "Circles" is a hymn to the power of nature and the importance of interconnectedness and empathy in human relationships.
