Blood of the … Read Full Bio ↴Hardcore band from Erie, Pennsylvania (United States).
Blood of the Martyr was formed in the fall of 2002 by 4 youths wanting nothing more than to spread the message of Christ's love to anyone and everyone. January of 2003 kicked off their first show, and an unmapped journey. Where BOTM would end up, when they would end, what they would accomplish... questions that never once crossed a single one of their minds because at no point was their journey about the finished product, but about becoming something that would continue to grow despite any stone walls they come across. Aside from a message of love and acceptance, the message of straight edge poured from their lips, as well as a pro-life standpoint, strength in friendships and relationships, and an over-all message of positive outlook.
Despite a world of troubles, founding member Aaron Martyr has continued to rebuild from the bottom to the top numerous times, with one simple thing in mind... There's a message that needs to get out there, and until it reaches all that it could possibly reach, this band's work is not complete. Bringin' it back from the bottom earned the band the nickname "tha BOTM Boyz". There is truth in the statement "everyone dies, but not everyone truly lives" Aaron tries to apply this to his life as well as the band's and knows that just because there are hard times, it doesn't mean that a great thing must be put to rest.
Through determination and faith, the band will remain alive until certain that the message will live on in the hearts of every ear that hears.

but rather how you ripped me apart
Imagine all the possibilities
But you turned your back on me
Now i'll show you all you cant believe
We could have been a family
through struggles and hard time sjust the same
Now you've gone and taken my life away
No one cared to think of what i felt
You put me through a living hell
Only if you didnt take my life away
Only if, just imagine where we'd be
Cure for the diseases which infect the human race
A solution to the problems that cause poverty
A simple love to overcome all of our pain
A way for this world to finally see a better day
Little child dont you cry though mother's gonna take your life
just trust in the doctor's hands that re-write god's master plan
Dad close your eyes the world, dont ask if it's boy or girl
this guilt is the price you'll pay, knowing you killed your child today
only if you didnt take their lives away
only if just imagine where we'd be
imagine technology to save human kind
imagine where we'd be if our generations had survived
The Mistake by Blood of the Martyr is a song that explores the aftermath of an unplanned pregnancy that led to an abortion. The lyrics tell a story of a man who regrets having his child aborted because he could imagine all the great things his child could have become if they had been given a chance to live. He believed that the only mistake was not the pregnancy, but how the woman he loved ripped him apart, and how he now has to deal with the pain of losing his child. He paints a picture of a world where all the current problems that plague humanity could have been solved if his child had lived. He emphasizes that he could have raised his child, and together they could have overcome any struggles or hardships that came their way as a family.
The song is an emotional and powerful one that tackles the issue of abortion and the effect it can have on those who have experienced it. It provides a voice for the men who have gone through the abortion process and who may not often be heard or recognized. It highlights the importance of understanding the impact that such a decision can have on people and how they might feel.
