Motel Surgery
Bloodlet Lyrics
Motel surgery
Blood spattered dreams
Razor sharp implements and a bathtub of ice
Keep walking backwards through life
So you can see what it is that you left behind
Liver transplants
Kidneys on ice
Best western bypass 50cc morphine dreams
Clamped aorta
Forceps white sheets
Scalpel suture
I have my souvenir
Despondent dreams lurk in the back of my head
Places I've been
Things I've said
Familiar faces left for dead
Stealing pieces of someone else's life
Destiny is hard to find with one good eye and both hands tied

Little was heard from Bloodlet's former members, as most dispersed to other locales. But during their retirement, several up and coming hardcore groups began name checking Bloodlet as an important influence (especially Eighteen Visions, among others), and by late 2001, Bloodlet had reunited and was rehearsing once more. Hooking up with renowned indie producer Steve Albini, Bloodlet issued their fourth release overall in 2002, the hard hitting Three Humid Nights in the Cypress Trees -- picking up exactly where they'd left off several years earlier.
