Burning Bridges
Bloodties Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
just to watch them burn
thought that i knew everything
there was so much more to learn
so go ahead world take your best shot
you can't hurt me anymore
take your best shot
i used to hide behind lies
but in this fucked up world
you've got to learn from your mistakes
learn from your mistakes
learn from your mistakes
learn from your mistakes
In Bloodties' song Burning Bridges, the lyrics tell the story of someone who has built many "bridges," or connections with people and the world around them, only to see them all go up in flames. The singer acknowledges that they thought they knew everything, but have since realized that there is still so much more to learn. Despite enduring hardships and being hurt, they declare that the world can no longer harm them, and urge others to take their best shot.
The lyrics seem to convey a sense of resilience and growth in the face of challenges. The singer admits to hiding behind lies and engaging in destructive behavior in the past, but acknowledges the need to learn from their mistakes. This theme of personal growth and self-reflection is a common one in many songs, as it speaks to universal experiences of struggle and overcoming adversity. Bloodties' Burning Bridges speaks to the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions and using past experiences as a catalyst for growth and transformation.

I have both Selftitled and The Dark Decade on CD. Got them both cheap on Discogs. I also just ordered Traitors and Martyrs by Ten Crowns a while ago and it just came in the mail today. Gonna upload it tomorrow when I get home from work.
