Wait till you see him
See how he looks
Wait till you hear him laugh
Painters of paintings
Writers of books
Wait till you feel
The warmth of his glance
Pensive and sweet and wise
All of it lovely
All of it thrilling
I'll never be willing to free him
When you see him
You won't believe your eyes
Wait till you feel
The warmth of his glance
Pensive and sweet and wise
All of it lovely
All of it thrilling
I'll never be willing to free him
When you see him
You won't believe your eyes
In the song "Wait Till You See Her," Blossom Dearie sings lyrics written by Lorenz Hart and Richard Rodgers. The song is about falling deeply in love with someone and feeling the need to possess them. The singer describes how incredible the person they love looks, sounds, and feels, and how they will never be willing to let them go. The lyrics convey a sense of desperation, and of being amazed by the person's beauty and charm. The singer seems to be completely in awe of this person and is unable to control their feelings for them.
Throughout the song, the singer describes the ways in which this person is remarkable. They mention how painters and writers could not even capture half of their beauty and charm. They also speak of the person's warmth and wisdom, which they find pensive and sweet. Overall, the song speaks of the overwhelming emotions that come with falling in love, and how the singer feels that this person is too special to let go of.
