With over 70 shows under their belt not only in Scandinavia but also in USA and more the band has shown what they can dish out. Although the band's first single might show a bit of the lighter side of Blowsight, don't be fooled. You can count on some hard driving guitars, raw but yet beautiful melodic vocals and plenty of drum abuse to come shortly after.
"We've been doing what we love most for the last 4 years while mailing demos to every record label we could find. Who would have thought we would end up getting signed for a single ("I'll Be Around") by Sony/BMG because of an internet website", vocalist/guitarist Niklas adds.
One day the band decided to upload some songs on a website called allears.se and all of a sudden they have over 25,000 plays in just two months and all 4 of their demo songs are sittin' on the top of the most sold charts.
Their debut album "Destination Terrorville" was released by the band themselves in June 2007, and has been recieved with great reviews. In summer of 2007, the band played the material at large festivals such as the Sweden Rock Festival, Rockoff and the Skellefteå Festival. In 2009, 'Destination Terrorville' is being released through Fastball Music/Sony on August 21, refueled with the bonus track 'Teenage Rockstar'
Blowsight's eagerness to experiment and evolve is lighting up their musical diversity. While the band's music has always been deeply personal, the songs can be felt emotionally by everyone who listens.
"The Band of the month" - Metal Hammer (Nov 2007)
"Eleven well written songs by a band with a great future ahead of them" - Sweden Rock Magazine
"The melodies are as strong as the variation...a hard rock buffet for anyone who is willing to broaden his/her horizon. And it tastes wonderful" - Close Up (8 out of 10)
"It should not take more than six months before this band signs a deal and starts touring the world" - Slavestate Magazine
"[Blowsight] takes a tired genre and reignites it" – Tunelab

and see them another day
'I didn't believe the signs', she said -
and that I should stay for everything
I didn't know you're loosing
I sing for the weak, and make me remember everything
[Chorus]
Looking into the past
And when you don't believe the ending
even though it's always last
And when you feel you've been mistreated
and noone dares to make a sound, then you know
Where to go - I'll be around
And the more we live the more we die
Don't make it impossible
It's hard to see you when you cry
So tell me how to be
For what it's worth - I didn't know you're loosing
Seven days a week
So make me remember everything
[Chorus]
And when you seem to never get there
You're looking into the past
And when you don't believe the ending
even though it's always last
And when you feel you've been mistreated
and noone dares to make a sound, then you know
Where to go - I'll be around
But why - Did we never take it?
But why - Nothing more is fair
But why - Did we never make it?
But why - Did we never care?
[Chorus x2]
The lyrics of "I'll Be Around" by Blowsight paint a picture of someone who is feeling lost and mistreated, and the singer offers to be the person's refuge. The opening lines of the song suggest that the two individuals need to hide away for a while and avoid everyone else. The girl in the song says that she didn't believe the signs and that the singer should stay for everything. Perhaps the signs refer to the warning signals about a situation that turned out to be a bad experience.
The lyrics then move to the chorus where the singer offers solace to the individual who is struggling. The lines suggest that sometimes people feel like they are looking back at their past and not moving forward. They don't believe that an ending can ever be happy, and they feel mistreated. The singer offers to be there for the person and make sure they don't feel alone. The lines "I'll be around" can offer a sense of hope or a ray of light, letting the listener know that they will never be alone.
The bridge has a set of rhetorical questions that touch on the issues faced by lovers. "Did we never take it?" suggests that the relationship could have been taken further. "Nothing more is fair" could suggest that perhaps one of the partners wasn't playing fair. "Did we never make it?" suggests that the relationship hit a dead end before it even started. "Did we never care?" speaks to the idea that perhaps the relationship was not as intense or perhaps it was not real.
