I Believe My Heart
Blue Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All in a single glance so revealing
You smile and I feel as though I've known you for years
How do I know to trust what I'm feeling
[Chorus]
I believe my heart
What else can I do
Every thought leads
Me straight to you
I believe my heart
There's no other choice
For now and whenever
My heart speaks I can
Only hear your voice
The lifetime before we met
Has faded away
How did I live a moment
Without you
You don't have to speak
At all
I know what you'd say
And I know every secret
About you
[Chorus: x2]
In Blue’s song, “I Believe My Heart”, the singer expresses their deep connection and faith in their emotions and feelings towards the person they love. The lyrics speak of the singer seeing the world vanish when they see their beloved's face, as though they are the only person in existence. The singer also muses about the familiarity they feel with their beloved when they smile and how they know without a doubt to trust in what they feel. The chorus of the song repeats the title phrase, “I Believe My Heart”, emphasizing the singer's unwavering trust in their emotions and how they lead them straight to their beloved. The chorus goes on to explain how there is no other option, as their heart speaks only in the voice of their loved one.
The song also touches on the suddenness of finding the one you love, with the lifetime before having met completely fading away. It implies that the moment they meet their beloved is as if their life did not begin until that point. The singer also states that they know what their beloved would say without them ever having to speak, indicating a deep level of understanding and familiarity with one another.
Overall, the song “I Believe My Heart” is about the strength of emotions and the unwavering belief in trusting them no matter what. It speaks to the deep connection and trust that one can have in a romantic relationship and how it can overwhelm everything else.
