Given the fact that this song is used in the hospital after Hisao's heart attack, I get legitimately scared something bad's about to happen whenever it plays anywhere else.

I started following the development of this game in 2008, (about a year after it's development started) I remember checking the developer blog constantly for updates. The excitement I felt when it was finished combined with feeling of "am I dreaming?" was something else.
Anyway I brought it up because this is the one song stuck with me every time I played the act 1 demo.
Hearing it again brings back the feelings of curiosity and anticipation I had of what was going to happen in the full release. "Katawa Shoujo" is easily one of my top favorite VN's ( though I am probably a bit biased because I was following it's development for 4 years).

This is the theme of pessimists, cynics, and people who have to add a thought every 5 lines that they could die of a heart attack. Or I guess you could say it's the exclusive theme of Hisao Nakai.

Whenever this theme hits it makes me worried or scared for a character thinking they're gonna die later or something cause you fucked up.

This, along with Shadow of the Truth and Moment of Decision, are probably the most perfect songs in the whole game, if you can call it that. Just hearing them causes feelings of sadness, despair, and hopelessness. It reminds me of certain heart-wrenching scenes, like when Emi kicks you out of her house, or when you're chasing Lilly in the airport and you don't make it, or when Rin... well, throughout most of Acts 3 and 4 of Rin's route. It's just so beautiful and heartbreaking.
