Beautiful
Blue Rodeo Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In a room down the hall
And outside your window snow falls
It's almost as beautiful
It's almost as beautiful
It's almost as beautiful as you
The gentle morning light
It's almost as beautiful as you
It's almost as beautiful
It's almost as beautiful
It's almost as beautiful as you
And while the world is waking
I'll just sit here for awhile
Cause I couldn't imagine a better time
It's almost as beautiful
It's almost as beautiful
It's almost as beautiful as you
The song Beautiful by Blue Rodeo is a tribute to a loved one who is sleeping just down the hall. The lyrics describe the snow falling outside the window, and how it is almost as beautiful as the person sleeping. The gentle morning light is also described as being almost as beautiful as this person. The singer then says that he will sit and watch for a while, as he couldn't imagine a better time to be alive. The song is filled with love and admiration for this person and the beauty that surrounds them.
The lyrics to Beautiful are very poetic and emotional, and they evoke images of peacefulness and tranquility. The simple melody and acoustic guitar give the song a soft, gentle feel that matches the subject matter perfectly. The song showcases the beauty of nature and the love between two people. It is a reminder of how the simplest things in life can be the most beautiful.

You are sleeping
Your eyes are closed while you rest
In a room down the hall
You're in another room not so far away
And outside your window snow falls
Cold, icy water drops from the sky and onto the earth outside of where you lay
It's almost as beautiful
The sight of the snow outside is very nice
It's almost as beautiful
The sight of the snow outside is very nice
It's almost as beautiful as you
But these flakes of white still can't match your beauty and grace
The gentle morning light
The faint glow of the morning sun
So quiet and true
Tranquil and real, it gently illuminates the world
It's almost as beautiful as you
This light of day is close to being as stunning as you are
It's almost as beautiful
The peaceful sunrise is an impressive spectacle
It's almost as beautiful
The peaceful sunrise is an impressive spectacle
It's almost as beautiful as you
But you still hold more beauty in your presence than anything else in nature I lay eyes on
And while the world is waking
As everybody begins a brand new day
I'll just sit here for awhile
I'll stay seated here, in the same stillness and silence that's surrounded me until
Cause I couldn't imagine a better time
This moment is too beautiful to disturb -- why bother attempting to fill it with other activity?
It's almost as beautiful
This moment spent in your atmosphere is a very wonderful thing
It's almost as beautiful
This moment spent in your atmosphere is a very wonderful thing
It's almost as beautiful as you
But times spent near you, in your essence, hold a superior level of beauty over everything in any other time or place
