Everybody Cries
Blue Rodeo Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
There's no need to wake
We all get tired from the chances we take
Wish i could take away the tears from your eyes
It's just that sometimes everybody cries
Outside the walls around us must be strong
when you feel your walking on
Its okay, sometimes everybody cries
I've seen you watching people walking through this world
seeing what they do to try and make it through each day
Don't be alarmed, there's something out there waiting just for you
someday
I've seen you watching people walking through this world
seeing what what they do to try and make it through each day
Don't be alarmed, there's something out there waiting just for you
someday
Let the stars fall down over your head
Don't you worry about the things you've seen
Just you drift away into the world behind your eyes
It's okay, sometimes everybody cries
sometimes everybody cries
The song "Everybody Cries" by Blue Rodeo is a soothing ballad that speaks to the universal human experience of sadness and the need for comfort in difficult times. The lyrics encourage the listener to close their eyes and rest, as even the strongest among us get tired from taking chances. The singer wishes they could take away the listener's tears and reassures them that it's okay to cry, as everyone experiences sadness at some point in their life.
The song also acknowledges the challenges of navigating the world, but offers encouragement that there is something out there waiting for the listener. The gentle melody and repeating chorus of "sometimes everybody cries" serve as a comforting reminder that sadness is a normal part of the human experience and that we are not alone in our struggles.
Overall, Blue Rodeo's "Everybody Cries" is a beautiful tribute to the power of empathy and the importance of seeking comfort in times of distress.
