Montreal
by Blue Rodeo

We met in Montreal
Far from the crime
Moving in circles
Running with so little time
Sat and we talked
About rumors and lies
Stayed til the sun hit the floor

You wore the dress
From the old market stall
People and places
Said you were forgetting them all
I don't know if I
Believed you or not
As I stared at you outside your door

Those were the times
That was our life
I probably wouldn't change
One little thing if I tried
Moments together mapped out
Like the stars in the sky
Now you're in the things that I do
Still I miss talking to you

Late in your bed
You said don't you be sad
Think of how lucky we are
For the things that we've had
Life that's around me
I'm letting it go
But you stay up here in my head

Those were the times
That was our life
I probably wouldn't change
One little thing if I tried
Moments together mapped out
Like the stars in the sky
Now you're in the things that I do
Still I miss talking to you

Al Huggins

let's say that it wasn't Montreal? and let's say that it was in Paris France, or New Orleans, or New York City, or Vienna Austria, or even Budapest Hungary...Would it make any difference because if we fall in love with each other and just wanted to be together would it matter as long as our hearts and minds just wanted to be with each other?.does love matter where we feel it? WOW, not in the world i come from!!

laurel june

@Al Huggins no you did not!! That name doesn't ring a bell, however I wasn't there for mass or to eat dinner in a pew al!! For gods sake!! Lmfao

Al Huggins

@laurel zebe Notre Dame Basillica?? one of the top 10 most beautiful cathedrals in the world. i actually ate 10 of the most succulent baby back ribs from a place called Richard's Ribs on St Catherine St. in Montreal (the most famous in Montreal sitting in a pew) while a big mass was going on and i'm not even religeous. hahahahch

laurel june

Oh my mistake al!! Yes I've been several times to Montreal. What really impressed me is how clean that city was compared to philly! I also went to the most beautiful cathedral I think I was ever in! Can't remember the name!

Al Huggins

@laurel zebe i said L-O-V-E not L-U-S-T but i understand the US speaks something more like a P-I-G L-A-T-I-N...hahahahahahahaha if you ever travelled to Montreal, you would know it is the FRENCH way of LOVE... it is our OLD WORLD CANADA with the cuisine, the cobblestone streets, the reminder of old world Paris.... want some?? hahahahahah love is not only the sex at the end but the romance in between. do i have to teach you everything laurel or have you never heard the word and meaning of romance in your phenobarbitol dictionary of languages in your history??? hahahahah got you on that one didn't I? hahhahahah

laurel june
