Movements
Blue Sky Black Death Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

on the grayest of days
it seemed so clear
my reflection raised
felt your skin so near

movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know

forgotten how to crave
a warmth like this
you tighten the hands
around my wrists

as we shiver
i must not rest
all will unfold
with what is left

movements slow
i need to know
how this will never end
how i will gain control

movements slow
i need to know

on the grayest of days
it seemed so clear
my reflection raised
i felt you so near

movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know

take me for what it's worth
while our motion disappears
i am here right now
while i motion disappears
and when morning comes
i will be all, all yours

take me for what it's worth
while our motion disappears
i am here right now
while our motion disappears
and when morning comes
i will be all, all yours

on the grayest of days
it seemed so clear
my reflection raised
i felt you so near

movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know
movements slow
i need to know

movements slow
i need to know

movements slow
i need to know

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Blue Sky Black Death's song "Movements" evoke feelings of uncertainty and a longing for clarity. The singer describes being in a state where everything seems gray, but their reflection becomes clearer as they feel someone's skin near them. The idea of movements being slow suggests stagnation and a need for change.

The chorus repeats the phrase "movements slow, I need to know", emphasizing the desire for progress and a sense of control. The second verse describes the singer being held tightly, shivering, and feeling a sense of urgency to not rest, possibly suggesting that the relationship or situation is unstable. The bridge shifts to a more positive perspective, with the singer willing to be taken for what they're worth and commit completely to the present moment. The song concludes with a repetition of the chorus and the idea of needing to know.

Overall, the song seems to be exploring the human need for clarity and control, especially in situations that feel uncertain or unstable. The singer is searching for movement and progress, but also acknowledges the importance of being present in the moment and not letting fear of the unknown hold them back.

This album reminds me of a specific point in my life, about 14-15 years old, when I First started smoking weed, it was a time of pure transition, feeling separated from reality, and dreaming of a stable tomorrow. It was watching anime with fresh eyes, it was feeling alive with simple mentions of humanity, it was feeling each day was separated from the last day.

A decade later, and I could only hope for such a day. Don’t take each day for granted people, we only got one life to live.

This hit me at my core. 32 now and I was still in my youth when I heard this. Such a beautiful time that we will never get to have again.

yep this album reminds me of a specific time and people around me, fucking makes me sad, i fucked it up, the best of friends, lost to time, in the past never to be recovered. I can almost smell the past when i listen to some songs, wish movements of time were slower!

Hey life is beautiful, dont lose hope on it :) . Dont take life too seriously, we are all in this together ❤ I felt the same way, but focusing on the exact present (with a bit of meditation) completly flipped my world. You have a natural ability within you and it's your conscious. The one thing no one can explain or comprehend. Once you can control that, the world is everything.

Such a deep track, so much raw emotion in it. It literally gives you chills. This is what music should be.

This song makes me realize deeper into the acknowledgement, one day were all going to die & I won't get to see the future then again I am in it. I just won't see it end.
