Blues Breakers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All the love I miss loving, all the kiss I miss kissing.
Before I met you baby, never knew what I was missing.
All your love, pretty baby, that I got in store for you.
All your love, pretty baby, that I got in store for you.
I love you pretty baby, well I say you love me too.
All your loving, pretty baby, all your loving, pretty baby.
Since I first met you baby, I never knew what I was missing.
Hey, hey baby, hey, hey baby.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, baby, oh, oh, baby.
Since I first met you baby, never knew what I was missing.
The lyrics to Blues Breakers' song "All Your Love" portray the singer's deep longing for a love he never knew existed before meeting his partner. He laments over the kisses and love he had missed out on, emphasizing how he had no idea what he was missing until he found the love that he now holds dear. The repetition of these lines in the chorus underscores the significance of the missed opportunities, and his willingness to offer all of his love to the person who awakened this passion in him.
The singer then shifts his attention to his partner, affirming his love for them and the extent to which his affectionate feelings reach. He declares that he has an overflowing, endless supply of love waiting to be given to his partner. The repetition of the phrase "pretty baby" suggests an overwhelming sense of admiration, while the last line of the chorus affirms that this love affair is mutual.
The song's overall mood is characterized by its upbeat blues rhythm, which seems to suggest that the love that the singer has found has brought light and happiness into his life. The chorus's repetition highlights the strength of the singer's feelings, while the verses' lyrics convey a sense of longing and appreciation for the love that he has now found.

I had the great pleasure of seeing John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers around 1988 at Wolftrap Farm Park. I was in the third row, center. Coco was on guitar. Mayall always surrounded himself with such great musicians. They were so hot that the fire alarm went off on their last song, the sprinklers started spraying the whole theatre. They played thru the end of their last song. After a long intermission to get they fire alarm system reset and dry the seats, John Lee Hooker's band took the stage and proceeded to also blow away the audience. Wow what a night !

I saw him in 91 at a local music festival. I had backstage passes for the show and he stopped and talked for a bit before the show... just like he was a roadie or something.... as down to earth as he could be and he had a great smile. :)
