We label this attempt at comprehension as a sign of intelligence.

We perceive serenity and security as a harmonious environment.

According to only what we have heard
Based on what we are told and not necessarily factual evidence.

In the hopes that in feeling free we'll reach paradise
To have the aspiration that by being free, we would arrive in a perfect world.

On that hilltop we're still trying to find

But the possibility exists no matter how scary it may seem
Despite the terror we might sense, there is still a chance.

That paradise was once the world and it wasn't just a dream
Heaven may have been the planet before, and it was not just an imagination.

The earth was our heaven and we didn't know there were rules for us to break

Allowing an opportunity in some way to torment fellow beings.

And infect him with disease
The inhibition of simians by transmitting virus.

Because he screams just like a human child
As these creatures scream in ways our children would.

While we study his desperate pleas
Being observed as a subject of research while he pleads for mercy.
