I love this Bassline. Simple but so effective. Most bass players would want to play loads of notes in this track.

Blur's simplicity is their magic.  They are part puck, part grunge\, a bit of rock, a pinch of soul and blues, and some kind of space jazz.  Original yet simple(yet complicated)

@Edith Mansikka I mean, they have done grunge-ish stuff before; Advert from MLIR being the biggest example.

@Расул Расулов Song 2? Although that differs quite a lot from their other music and was meant to be a parody...

Happy times with this song, my old dog Roy (God rest his soul) used to howl to this song everytime??, and this song only? Blew his mind, hed sit listening with me,, and he loved the saxaphone.. yes i was best friends with the coolist dog in town

I think you can really hear Damon's main influence in this song and where he was wanting to take his music. It would sound perfectly in line on a Gorillaz album to me.

When listening to Think Tank, I actually have to remind myself I am listening to blur. I do love it though.

I grew up with Think Tank - it was the first Blur album I listened, and was the only one for a while.

So, it was almost weird when I heard their other stuff...but now I love Blur so much that I actually do sometimes have to remind myself that Think Tank is Blur, and not just Damon Albarn.

Jeboon

It's because of no Graham.

Still my fav album though.
